- This is a F ull-Time position
- Location : Commerce, CA
- Job Schedule : Monday - Friday, 4 : 00 AM
- Salary Range : $ per hour DOE
Position Summary
- Safety awareness will be priority # 1, and adheres to follow all GMPs and guidelines
- Must follow all GMP requirements while retrieving or returning materials within the warehouse areas.
- Ability to wear applicable Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) during scheduled work shift including face mask and face shield.
- Ensure employees are filling out daily electronic Covid 19 self-assessment.
- Ensure all transportation records are received and correct for next day’s delivery.
- Ensure all transportation records are turned at the end of the work shift.
- Support train new team members on Safety and route deliveries procedures.
- Make sure all trucks have the proper registration and insurance certificate in the vehicle.
- Ensure loading and unloading of pallets of food is performed to expectations by monitoring each driver.
- Go out on routes to cover absences and assist with larger than normal deliveries and looks for ways to improve route efficiency.
- At the end of the work shift ensure all keys, gas cards and phones are returned.
- Accidents & Incidents must be filled out reported to Management same day.
- Ensure all company equipment is returned to the assigned location at the end of work shift
- Perform inspection on trucks at the end of the day to ensure there are no dents or scratches.
- Ensure all drivers are aware of all schedule changes and ensure they report to work at their scheduled time.
- Remind drivers to approve their time sheets on Fridays and at the end of pay period.
- Communicate daily with Commerce operations team.
- Make sure to email Manager when employees are absent or need to leave before end of shift.
- Monitor tracking system to ensure deliveries are being made in a timely manner.
- Driving out daily from Commerce, CA to Bakersfield, CA delivering frozen meals to vendor
Qualifications :
- Valid driver license
- Clean driving record for at least 3 years
- No automobile accidents for at least 4 years
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Must pass Department of Justice background check and provide a clear TB test (taken within 4yrs)
- Ability to get fingerprint live scan
- A minimum of 2-3yrs of delivery / logistics leading experience
- Ability to speak and write English and Spanish
Physical Demands :
- The ability to lift / push objects weighing over 50lbs.
- The ability to have repetitive use of hands for grasping, folding, pushing, pouring, kneading, and fine manipulation
- The ability to bend, twist, walk, and stand to perform normal job functions
- The ability to handle cleaning chemicals and wash hands frequently
Typical Work Schedule :
Approximately 8 hrs. / day shift
Compensations :
Hourly based on qualifications
