Operations Manager

As the Regional Operations Manager you will shape and guide a fast-growing, dynamic Automotive Service startup. Your primary responsibilities will be to oversee RepairSmith’s field operations in your territory.

You will ensure that RepairSmith’s strategic vision is executed in a highly efficient, measurable, and scalable manner. You will grow and manage a high-performing service delivery team and strongly collaborate across the entire organization to achieve growth and profitability targets.

WE WILL DEPEND ON THIS PERSON TO

  • Review the work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to during the day to meet the overall regional objectives
  • Optimize the market coverage in your area and service areas of the existing RepairSmith vans
  • Run daily stand-ups with the technicians at the HUB
  • Develop and execute fleet service standard operating procedures
  • Manage, motivate and grow the technician workforce with focus on required technicians’ skill level and directing towards efficiency of the dedicated workforce, this includes timecards, schedule management and staff management leveraging the centrally provided HR systems
  • Enhance the current workshop and stocking infrastructure. Identifying and contracting a suitable operations home base to park and stock the service vans, specifically for the Fleet and location-based service operations
  • Collaborate with parts and dispatch central team members in your market area to enhance pre-booking and Repair Order volume growth
  • Manage and develop a team of fleet designated managers, team leaders, service technicians, service advisors and reinforce the role of the launch manager in close alignment with the sales team
  • Co-operate closely with the fleet sales team members to achieve service sales targets and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Specify digital product requirements supporting the efficient service execution (site scheduling, technician scheduling, parts identification and ordering, bonus, and timecard accounting, etc.)
  • Work on site to perform field visits, coach, manage, motivate and grow the technician workforce for Fleet with a focus on required technicians’ skill level and directing towards the efficiency of the dedicated workforce, this includes timecards, schedule management, and staff management leveraging the centrally provided HR systems
  • Enhance the current hubs and stocking infrastructure

Interact daily with sales and account management to ensure all stakeholders are aligned

  • Be the point of escalation for material service-related issues and proactively recommend go-forward solutions
  • Ability to travel
  • Identifying and contracting a suitable operations home base to park and stock the service vans, specifically for the Fleet and location-based service operations
  • Identify improvement opportunities and initiate optimization measures along with fleet service operations (scheduling, dispatch, service / repair execution, customer interaction, and follow-up, fleet repair van / tool handling, etc.)

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, process design, and execution across various teams and regions
  • Experience in establishing partnership focused operating procedures with the ability to find workable compromises across the entire company (incl.

product, technology, marketing, finance, and operations)

  • Industry experience in automotive, mobility, home services, or a delivery related business.
  • Experience in leading operations teams across various operation sites
  • Experience overseeing and growing customer-related operations including customer service and field services
  • Strong ability to manage and motivate staff through excellent communication and operational involvement
  • Experience with directly interacting with customers and issue / conflict resolution
  • Knowledge on how to leverage data analytics to support change management and standardize procedures across teams / regions
