Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs
Perform regular bookkeeping duties : make sure hotel guest information is current and correct
Connect with the housekeeping department to ensure guest accommodations are ready
Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers
Mitigate customer complaints as needed
Front Desk Supervisor
The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Front Desk Supervisor.
Responsibilities :
The Front Office Supervisor assists the Front Office Manager in directing the operations of the Front Desk staff to properly ensure the prompt, efficient and courteous service to guests, that all guests' needs are met during their stay and to deliver the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
Essential Job Tasks :
- Assists in the operations of the Front Desk by supervising all Guest Service associates.
- Ensures guest satisfaction by responding to guest request in a friendly, service oriented manner, resolving guest complaints, and greeting in-house guests
- Fills in at the Front Desk during busy periods or when staffing needs dictate
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
OTHER TASKS
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
Qualifications :
- Ability to work irregular shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as activity levels demand
- Prior Marriott experience preferred

Restaurant Host - Hostess
We’re looking to hire an energetic and outgoing host / hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You’ll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations.
Your main duties include welcoming guests and guiding them to a table that has been cleared and cleaned. You’ll ensure that there are enough seats for the entire party and check that each guest has tableware.
Your attire should be professional and neat, with comfortable shoes so you can stand on your feet frequently throughout your shift.

Responsibilities :
- Know the menu items and how dishes are prepared and be able to answer any questions about daily specials
- Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers
- Make sure dining room tables and chairs are neatly organized at all times and that condiments on the table are restocked if low
- Welcome all diners with a friendly attitude to create an excellent first impression
- Guide diners to their seats and make sure everyone has the correct number of menus, utensils, napkins, and filled water glasses
Qualifications :
- Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
- Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
- This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language
- Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around

Barista
The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel is hiring a Barista for our Starbucks outlet. This is a part-time role.
Responsibilities :
- Prepares beverages requested by customers or servers according to procedures and in a timely matter
- Enters orders into a computerized system and settles check(s) upon completion of order
- Performs pre and post-shift side work including stock service station, making coffee, etc.
- Provides a friendly, courteous, positive, and professional attitude to customers and guests
- Maintains a clean work area that adheres to health and safety standards
- Sets up the front bar and back bar according to established procedures
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
Qualifications :
- Past experience as a Barista is highly preferred
- Starbucks experience preferred but not required
- Upbeat personality
- Ability to multitask
