Licensed Electricians - Apprentices / Journeyman

Must be available for night work if requested.

Shift : Sun - Thu (8 PM - 4 : 30 AM).

Pay : $18.00 to $ 38.00 / hr. BOE.

Types of projects :

• Electrical systems interface with power, lighting, emergency power, building automation, controls, fire alarm systems, and access control.
• Commercial electrical work running conduit and raceway.

Responsibilities :

• Follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before the completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduits.
• Pull wiring through conduits.
• Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
• Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
• Observe the functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Repair faulty equipment or systems.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements :

• Apprentice Electrician (Must have TDLR License).
• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience.
• Must have knowledge of conduit bending, wire pulling, terminating electrical panels, reading blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Candidate must have experience working in a commercial environment.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
