Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Laying out, laying up, and fabricating composite parts, assembling, disassembling, installing, modifying, and inspecting complex and precision electronic, optical, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, hydro-mechanical, mechanical production assemblies, prepare surfaces, applies coating and performs coating-related processes.
- Performs electrical and mechanical in process checks, analysis, and rework of complex and precision parts and assemblies, making wiring, continuity, and component checks that utilize the knowledge of electronic theory and circuit analysis.
- Prepares, fabricates, bonds, and assembles various composite parts.
- Utilizes various fabrication technologies.
- May be required to manufacture and assemble developmental and engineering prototype hardware (when necessary).
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates, all types of complex assembly machines and equipment, micro equipment as required in assembly, fabrication, test, and inspection of micro electronic circuit assemblies.
- Must pass Manufacturing Technician Skills and Solder Assessments per Skills Assessment Guide after hire.
- All Candidates must pass a dexterity assessment and the vision requirements per Company Directive 171-RP to be eligible for this occupation.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
- Must be able to work any designated shift to include overnight.
- One (1) year experience including at least 3 of the following in a manufacturing environment : Performing work from schematics, drawings, work instructions, planning.
Performing basic solder operationsInstalling, assembling, modifying; electronic and / or electromechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
Process operations of metal, plastics, and / or composites performing such duties as : decaling, masking, sanding, stenciling, chemical cleaning, bonding, mixing of bonding, and / or paint materials.
- Must pass qualifying and / or practical test.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.
S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.

Collins Aerospace is looking for an Airline Support Manager (ASM) who will work as the technical field representative between Collins Aerospace and our IATA I airline customers (IATA I : International Air Transport Association, Region One The America’s).
Airline Support Managers act as the primary liaison between our airline customers and our Collins Aerostructures’ Aftermarket Support Organization.
This position works in a hybrid capacity, with the position located at our Chula Vista facility.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Interface directly with airline personnel at all levels to ensure exceptional customer experience
- Provide time bound technical support including technical inquiry resolution, product updates, maintenance troubleshooting, and training to airline customers
- Travel regionally to make onsite customer visits. Developing and maintaining airline relationships that will ensure a strong positive customer experience
- Support Operator / OEM / Industry conferences with technical service / support and nacelle solutions
- Provide and encourage airline customer participation in customer surveys and manage improvement actions stemming from results
- Collaborates with other Aftermarket support functions i.e., AMTS, MRO & SPARES to ensure coordinated customer response for both technical and commercial solutions
- Recommend maintenance, repair and overhaul services
- Participate in customer Entry Into Service (EIS) and Initial Provisioning conferences to assist with customer product familiarization
- Partner with airlines to support field and fleet data collection
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and develop standard process / job instructions
- Able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field and typically minimum 5 years experience
- In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Tools.
- Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership.
- Able to read Engineering Drawings.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with customer engagement.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Possess Nacelle / Engine component knowledge and understands manuals (AMM, CMM, IPC, SRM).
- Proficient in Spanish both verbal and written.
- TeamCenter, SharePoint, SAP, CATIA experience.
- Analytical skills including tools such as : Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other data analytical software.
- Experience with CRM software : MS Dynamic or other software’s.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or ACE.
- Flexible and motivated with strong relationship building skills internally and externally with both customers and suppliers.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
