Roles & Responsibilities :
- The project manager is responsible for project planning and oversight of planned activities from beginning to end
- They balance budgets, keep track of work in progress, collaborate with suppliers, handle risks, and ensure projects are completed per schedule
- The individual will work with engineering, drafting, supply chain management, manufacturing, quality, and shipping to ensure the overall scope of supply per the quotation proposals is achieved
- The individual will run large multi-faceted projects and multiple projects at the same time
- Run the order entry and transition process for assigned projects
- Review order-entry packages and facilitate the receipt of all required information
- Drive adherence to the Order Entry Process
- Initiate the project through required formalities and internal / external kickoff meetings
- Take full ownership of the scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects, and lead those constraints after the order award
- Fully understand the provisions of the contract for the project, regularly informing functional representatives of salient provisions, and ensuring organizational compliance with all requirements
- Develop project plans as vital to successfully complete the project
- Monitor and maintain the master project schedule including identification of the critical path and near critical path items to maintain delivery and cost objectives
- Effectively report the progress and status of the project to management and the client
- Adequately document all subsequent (addendum) contractual agreements, both technical and commercial, and manage project scope via Contract Change Authorizations
- Develop project-specific risk management plans and proactively manage technical and commercial risk throughout project execution to minimize company exposure
- Manage and maintain the project budget, initiate and facilitate corrective actions to maintain financial objectives and revenue recognition
- Positively influence financial position, via cash flow management, working with internal accounting, and the client to ensure timely issue and collection of invoices related to milestone payments
- Support the project through the warranty phase, working with the Commissioning Team members to address installation, startup, or warranty issues
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and management to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the project
- Conduct Lessons Learned meetings for all projects; identify corrective actions and best practices and solicit a Customer Satisfaction Survey as part of the contract closure process
- Candidates will prepare & make presentations to any internal / external client level
Required Skills (Technical Competency) :
- 3-5 years of experience in a related role
- BS in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing Controls Projects in Power Generation Industry
- Position requires experience in project planning, scheduling, communication, execution, coordination, administration, and documentation, with a commitment to customer satisfaction and maintaining project cost control.
- Good organizational skills to respond to multiple inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ability to work well in teams interacting routinely with finance, marketing, and field service operations to achieve a common goal.
- Has a clear understanding of the sold product (reviews, understands, and ensures compliance with required contract documents including commercial and technical specifications, scope, schedule, and performance requirements).
- IPMA or equivalent project management certification a plus; eventual certification will be a requirement.

Position Role Type :
We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Test Engineer at our Aerospace location in Anaheim, CA. The Test Engineer will apply knowledge of test engineering principles & techniques to support the manufacturing and quality review of aerospace components.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Conduct product confirmation testing in the lab, followed by qualification testing, and coordinate with test laboratories to perform qualification testing for rotorcraft hardware, primarily hoist and winches, as listed in DO-160.
- Create Test Procedures, Test Reports and Qualification by Similarity Reports
- Support and deliver reports for proper safety and 5s of shop equipment and flight hardware.
- Provide testing results to meet operational deadlines with high quality products in line with internal and regulatory standards.
- Additional deliverables include continuous improvement tools, developing work instructions / standard work, and following all regulatory company procedures including thorough recording of all work to ensure traceability.
- Participate and complete actions by attending daily / weekly schedule / status meetings, or more frequently as deemed appropriate.
- Participate in Collins Aerospace Communities of Practice to maintain awareness of best practice.
- The qualified applicant will be required after adequate training and experience, to certify & buy-off products per customer Quality Requirements.
Required & Desired Skills (Technical Competency) :
- BSME and 3+ years’ Sustainment / Test Engineering experience.
- Familiar with test planning background, analytical skills, able to infer engineering schematics and communicate design intent, Expertise developing test plans, procedure, and reports.
- Experience developing plans and conducting Qualification by Test, Qualification by simulation OR Qualification by Analysis as required.
- Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal / organizational skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex design schematics / procedure.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, installation layouts, and sketches.
- Experience in a Supply Chain Manufacturing / Sustainment Engineering preferred.

The Team
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) is our customer’s organizational link between Integrated Supply Chain and the product development functions of Engineering, Program Management, and the Strategic Business Units.
AME participates in the execution of new product development programs to ensure product cost, capability, and producibility targets are achieved.
Specifically, this involves evaluations of the design, the supply base, the product cost, the manufacturing factory, the manufacturing process capability, and the manufacturing yield of an end item product.
Essential Job Functions :
- Interface between Program Management and Customers.
- Interface between program and suppliers.
- Identify roadblocks to supply chain and drive to resolution.
- Program Milestones, maintain required IPDS metrics and provide status presentations.
- Documentation of current routings, detailed operation descriptions, etc.
- Review, create, and update quality improvement plans for related manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements :
- BS / AS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent

- 1+ years hands on experience in manufacturing with various processes such as turning, 3-5 axis milling, grinding, broaching, special processes, and sheet metal / fabrications recommended
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T standards (ASME Y 14.5) recommended
- Knowledgeable in methods of inspection & gaging concepts recommended
