Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and hard-working Warehouse Associates to join our team. In this position, you will support warehouse operations by receiving shipments, processing orders, moving pallets and other materials, supporting production requirements, loading and unloading customer trailers, and storing / organizing inventory.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a proven track record of getting the job done and is comfortable working with truck docks, street-level entry, forklifts, pallet jacks, and freight elevators.

This job is for someone who wants a lot of variety in their workday and doesn't mind going from task to task quickly.

Keeps the floor and area picked up, sweeps the floor, puts all debris in an industrial trash compactor, uses manual and air-operated strapping tools, and ensures materials are assigned to critical work areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling, boxing, palletizing, bundling, sorting, strapping, banding, and staging pallets, corrugated and pallet boxes, crates, and packaging materials using manual and air-operated strapping tools
  • Performing visual quality inspections, separating components, identifying, tagging, counting, recording production, scrap, and keeping required production records as required
  • Processing incoming shipments in a neat and organized fashion
  • Pulling stock to fulfill and prepare orders for shipping
  • Inspecting incoming shipments for any damages, defects, or errors
  • Unloading products from incoming trucks and relocating them to appropriate places
  • Loading outgoing trucks and trailers in a safe, organized, and efficient manner
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and activity logs of lumber, roll stock, corrugated boxes, and other materials for damages, shortages, or quality control issues
  • Performing the last visual quality inspection of all items loaded and unloaded
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, legal guidelines, and company policies
  • Operating wrapping equipment when necessary
  • Assisting Shipping and Receiving to balance the workload, organize the warehouse, and perform general cleaning
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

Qualifications

  • Able to repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, lift, kneel, sit, and stand for long periods of time (throughout shift)
  • Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and use hands to handle, feel and reach
  • Able to read, write, and speak English, along with solid communication skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (varying seasonal temperatures, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people and be a team player
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
  • Must have a good sense of balance and good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • May be required to lift pallets by hand
  • Use a hand-held RF device
  • Previous experience as a Forklift Operator is required
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Familiarity with and ability to use industrial equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects to 50 lbs
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse setting is preferred
  • Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Monday-Friday 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm
