What You’ll Do :

Looking to get a start in the Food & Beverage industry? Hate the idea of sitting behind a desk all day? As a Steward, you’ll be staying active on your feet providing support and assistance to the rest of the service team.

Here are some of the daily tasks you’ll be responsible for :

• Sorting and washing dirty and used dishes and utensils.
• Replacing washed dishes and utensils in storage areas.
• Helping in keeping the general restaurant area sanitary and clean (i.e. sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables).

Where You’ve Been :

We’re looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent. While previous food and beverage experience is a plus, it is not required.

What we really want is someone capable of thinking on their feet and able to keep up in high-pressure situations. If that sounds like you, go ahead and apply.

When You’re Here :

What You’ll Do : Looking to break into the Food & Beverage industry? Being a Host / Hostess is the perfect opportunity!

As a Host / Hostess, you’re responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for all our guests. Here are some of the tasks you’ll be doing on a daily basis :

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer a choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu.
• Record and make arrangements for reservations and any special functions.
• Read, maintain and make daily entries in the log book

Description

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Oversee staff of room attendants, housepersons, and inspectors by conducting daily and monthly meetings, inspecting staff work and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with personnel functions as directed, e.g. interviewing, training, performance evaluations, resolving problems, providing open communication and recommending discipline and / or termination when appropriate.
• Arrange staff work schedules, determining days off and ensuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and / or any current or anticipated projects.
• Maintain and review computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses as well as inspection scores for housekeepers.
• Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Abilities Required

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members such as room attendants, housepersons and inspectors to complete their individual tasks if the situation demands.

What You’ll Do : You are the first connection that our guests have to our hotel and a vital contributor to the success of their experience.

You are responsible for assisting arriving and departing guests with luggage and provide information regarding the property and local area.

You will use the guest's name to make them feel welcome and important. You will help acclimate guests to the hotel and be sure they know you are there to help them with whatever they may need.

Additional daily responsibilities include :

• Greeting every guest with a smile and a friendly greeting.
• Show guests to their room and assist with their luggage.
• Check luggage for hotel guests both for day and overnight storage.·Promoting the amenities and services of the hotel and be an ambassador for our city.

You will know the neighborhood and be able to provide directions and suggestions for dining and entertainment.

Where You’ve Been :

We’re looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) and preferably three to six months of related experience.

But most importantly you must be a people-person! You will need to interact with all hotel guests and team members in a polite and positive manner at all times, fulfilling requests (even challenging ones) in a timely manner.

As a Room Attendant, you help create guest experiences that are enjoyable and comfortable.

As a Houseperson, you’ll be doing a lot of things around here (boredom won’t be an issue). Here are a few of the tasks that will keep you busy on a daily basis :

• Clean, dust, polish and vacuum public areas meet hotel standards.
• Organize the linen closets, restock carts, and get ready for the next day, before your shift ends each day.
• Greet guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.

Where You’ve Been :

We’re looking for someone with at least one month of related experience. But most importantly you must have a passion for customer service and be able to work with others seamlessly.

This means you have no problem collaborating within a diverse team dynamic and working calmly under pressure. This job is high energy and anything but dull!

What You’ll Do :

The hustle and bustle of hotel life cause daily wear and tear on all aspects of our property our linens are no exception! Our Laundry Attendants are there to ensure our linens are always clean, crisp, and presentable to our guests.

You are responsible for the washing and drying of hotel linens and guest laundry. Your efforts will ensure that hotel guests live in a happy, healthy, and clean space for the duration of their stay.

Some of your daily responsibilities include :

• Washing, drying, folding, sorting and storing of all clean linens, towels, napkins, and tablecloths.
• Operating appropriate equipment to sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, and fold or package hotel laundry items.
• Maintaining linen supplies to the specified linen supply level.
• Cleaning up machines and surrounding areas.

Where You’ve Been :

You’re someone with the ability to clearly communicate with guests and other team members, learn quickly, stay calm under pressure, and work effectively with limited supervision.

While previous hotel laundry and housekeeping experience is a plus, it is not required.
