We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager / Scheduler to join A well-known and respected General Contractor here in Houston, TX.

The company is seeking an experienced professional with a background within largescale OCCUPIED healthcare facilities.

This is a hybrid role that will combine responsibilities for a Project Manager and a Scheduler. The job will be roughly 60% PM and 40% Scheduler but will flex based on status of the project.

A project manager’s role is to effectively lead the successful completion of the project on time and within budget. The project manager shall work with the balance of the project team to seamlessly be responsible for planning, creating, updating, and coordinating project schedules.

Additionally, must be proficient at analyzing project changes and at creating schedule impact Fragmented networks using P6.

Works closely with preconstruction and operations departments to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules throughout project life cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding of the Contract Documents
  • Document Management
  • Create and maintain all project logs (Procurement, Submittal, Change Proposals, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule utilizing P6 software platform
  • RFI & Submittal Management
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, impacts and Franet preparation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, Bluebeam, PlanGrid / Autodesk Build
  • Efficiently conduct all project meetings in a professional manner including development and distribution of minutes
  • Project Finance Management (Job Cost, Invoicing, etc.)
  • Project Close Out
  • Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure project remains on schedule.
  • Provide technical assistant (interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, etc.) as needed
  • Lead the project’s quality process and principles
  • Take an active role in preconstruction efforts
  • Maintain positive relationships with our partners and clients
  • Sense of Urgency and drive to be the best

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, preferably within our clients core market projects. Bachelor’s degree required (Construction Management related field preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, Bluebeam, PlanGrid / Autodesk Build
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Detailed and hands on approach
  • Client focused
  • Proficient in the use of technology including project management software
  • Completion of OSHA 30

The company is seeking an experienced professional with a background within largescale OCCUPIED healthcare facilities.

Your role as Senior Superintendent will be to effectively monitor, direct, and coordinate the field operations. The superintendent shall work with the balance of the project team to effectively deliver successful projects for our client.

Primary focus will be working on large scale OCCUPIED healthcare facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong comprehension of plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings
  • Plan and supervise field activities including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
  • ICRA and PCRA experience required.
  • Oversee, manage, and mentor the next generation of field leadership.
  • Effectively coordinate subcontractors sequencing and performance.
  • Develop, monitor, and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
  • Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required
  • Monitor field compliance with project safety program requirements; ensure corrective measures are implemented in coordination with our client’s award winning safety department.
  • Maintain liaison with other departments (Quality, Equipment, Safety, etc.) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc.

  • Ability to complete field related digital paperwork in timely and complete manner
  • Adhere to SWPPP requirements
  • Ability to escalate issues in a timely manner

  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent and large scale ($150m+) OCCUPIED health care projects.
