Warehouse Associate

GENERAL SCOPE : Receiving of incoming DVT pumps, cleaning of incoming pumps and ERP transactions of product to start the repair process.

Responsible for final inspection of all pumps and paperwork and shipping of pumps and spare parts to customers. Team member will also perform inventory control duties as assigned as well as other assigned tasks within the department.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :

  • Receives incoming DVT pumps from customers.
  • Receives incoming shipments of spare parts.
  • Cleans incoming DVT pumps from customers, and sorts according to RMA paperwork.
  • Receives units and spare part shipments into ERP system to start process.
  • Maintain proper documentation for work completed including accurately documented physical and electronic service records as required by facility procedures.
  • Inspects repaired units and paperwork at end of line after burn-in period.
  • Packages DVT pumps for return to customers.
  • Packages spare parts orders for shipment to customers.
  • Replenishes Kanban’s as required.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts or movement as required.
  • Help with facility upkeep or maintenance.
  • Notifies management of any receiving / shipping issues or other applicable information.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and filed out appropriately.
  • Adheres to Company safety regulations.
  • Participates in any and or all, reasonable work activities as deemed suitable and assigned by management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

High School Degree / GED equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum 3 yrs. experience in a similar warehouse / shipping / receiving or inventory control position.

SKILLS :

  • Must be able to decipher data from computer-generated reports, software programs, technical manuals and written correspondence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to operate a forklift.
  • Computer literacy;
  • Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to respond to inquiries and communicate with others in writing.
  • Must meet quality requirements and standards.
  • Must show the ability to read and understand service manuals, blueprints, technical specifications and work instructions as required.
  • Must be able to work in a nontraditional, participative work environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good troubleshooting skills in primary area of responsibility.
  • Must be detail oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime when required
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (including biological / chemical protection) when potential hazards exist.
  • Major tasks require the use of hands, legs, and feet.
  • Sitting, standing and / or walking for up to 8 plus hours per day.
  • Frequent bending / stooping, squatting and balance.
  • Must occasionally utilize hand tools to connect and operate test instrumentation to monitor equipment function.
  • The employee must have use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear.
  • Must be able to lift / carry 45lbs individually and team lift heavier items.
  • Must be able to push up to 625 lbs. on wheels.

Manufacturing Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Works with design engineers in implementing new product designs into production.
  • Leads pilot builds, PFMEA, and all manufacturing assembly related tasks including establishing build procedures and run rates for new product introduction.
  • Plans and designs manufacturing processes in a low volume / custom assembly environment.
  • Designs and specifies fixtures, tools and testers needed to achieve manufacturing goals.
  • Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods.
  • Generates Engineering Change Requests, procedures, and assembly instructions.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools (PDCA, DMAIC, DMADV, A3, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, SIPOC, Kaizen, 5 Whys)
  • Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing Concepts including the 8 wastes,
  • Understanding of work measurement techniques such as MOST, time study and motion, Standard Time Data, Work Sampling, etc.
  • Lean and Six Sigma Training
  • Analyze and optimize workflow of resources associated with production processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff from hourly workers to company executives.
  • Experience using Solid Works, Infor, Salesforce software packages.
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Required Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical / Mechatronics engineering from an accredited college.
  • Two (2+) plus years of manufacturing engineering experience in assembly operations.

Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Five years or more experience working for a manufacturer in a lean centric role
  • Experience with New Product Introduction
  • Lean / Six Sigma manufacturing certification

Manufacturing Technician

This position reports to the Technical Support Supervisor and plays a key role in the assistance of the Technical Support and Production Departments.

This position will also interface with customers to provide assistance and technical troubleshooting of SO2, TRS, H2S, NOX, NO, NO2, NH3, O2, O3, CO, CO2, N2O gas instrumentation, and PM10, PM2.

5 particulate instrumentation. This position will begin within the Customer Service / Repair Lab as part of the training progression towards potentially an Engineering Technician role within the Technical Support Center.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Will provide customer assistance by repairing, advising on the repair and use, and factory repair of API analyzers and associated equipment used in their operation.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasionally deviation from accepted practice.
  • Electronic troubleshooting and resolving problems in both software-controlled Analog and Digital surface mount circuit boards.
  • Responsible for solving start-up and calibration problems and repairing instruments for the assigned products.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in a mechanical related field or equivalent work experience with air pollution instrumentation and / or other mechanical / electro-mechanical machinery.
  • 3-5 years of experience and / or education in a service-related environment, particularly oriented toward electronic, pneumatic and electromechanical instrumentation.
  • Must have experience using the following test equipment : VOM, oscilloscopes, recorders, hand tools, test jibs and custom test equipment as required.
  • Must be able to exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Must be able to communicate and articulate professionally and clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess problem solving skills, strong digital and analog skills, and the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner with high attention to detail.
  • Requires general computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required for customer and team interaction -Environmental Industry product knowledge, a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft AX and Salesforce a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position will require travel within and outside of the United States 10% of the time.
