General Summary of Purpose
As our Seasonal Talent Acquisition Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the hiring process as needed by conducting screenings, assessments, and selecting candidates.
You will also assist new hires with the paperwork process.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Screens, assesses, and selects candidates for Call Center and Warehouse positions and assists new hires with the accurate and timely completion of necessary paperwork
- Enters, updates, and distributes information using the applicant tracking system
- Assists in the completion and review of preplacement medical exams and security checks to ensure the hiring of qualified personnel in the Call Center and Fulfillment Center
- Coordinates and schedules applicant appointments, contacting applicants by phone, email, and text messaging
- Assists in the accurate reporting of employment statistics
- Makes badges for new hires
- Abides by State and Federal legislation governing the employment process
- Abides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company and the Human Resources department
- Maintains regular, predictable attendance
- Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
- Work in the Human Resources department office environment requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education
High School Diploma preferred.
Experience
Previous Human Resources or administrative experience is preferred, but not required

- Strong oral / written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must possess good decision making and problem-solving skills
- Must be well organized
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be proficient in a Windows environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
- Ability to work successfully both in a team environment and independently
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to perform job duties in a safe manner

Warehouse Stocker
Job Overview :
As our Warehouse Stocker , you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory in the pick bins and replenishing stock timely, helping to Make Life More Fun every day! Wages start at $15.
50 per hour for this regular position with the opportunity for performance based bonus. Employees on our swing shift are also eligible for a $2 per hour shift differential.
What you’ll do :
- Maintain pick zones by keeping product organized on shelves and stocking product to meet demand
- Check work for quality and accuracy to ensure an amazing customer experience
- Interact with technology like headsets and scanners and use audio or screen prompts to follow directions
- Work independently and as part of a team to build on our culture of fun!
What you need to join the fun :
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to communicate and understand English in verbal and written form
- Average reading and good counting skills
- Ability to walk, stand, push, squat, bend, and reach overhead frequently throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently move or lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally 75 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift items overhead up to 40 pounds
- Ability to frequently climb stairs and occasionally climb ladders up to 5 feet
- Ability to work in elevated work areas up to 28 feet high
