JOB DESCRIPTION
This position serves as front-line personnel helping to ensure the safety of on-campus students and is the first point of entry into Residence Hall.
Will screen and register all visitors entering the dorm. Ensures housing protocols are followed. Will be responsible for manning the desk at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Observes all people entering dorm.
Ensures each visitor registers / signs-in.
Ensures the name of guest and the name and room number of the student being visited for guest log. Follows dorm manual procedures.
Answers telephones.
Records all messages for students.
Contacts the Dorm Director and Security in case of emergencies.
Maintains written documentation of all incidents.
Keeps desk area and lobby area clean and tidy.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION :
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Prefer 3 6 months clerical or customer service experience.
- Must have a stable work background and be detail oriented.
- Requires good oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Requires the ability to follow instructions and established procedures, and make sound judgments.
- Must be able to maintain composure during times of emergency and be aware of emergency procedures. Requires the ability to work in a high-paced environment with high customer / client contact.

FULL TIME
Full-time Position. The Oral Roberts University Fenimore & Fisher College of Business is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in Finance.
Courses must be taught on the campus of Oral Roberts University.
DUTIES
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance. Excellence in teaching and professionalism, strong ORU fit, and research in the field are expected.
Spirit-Empowered Christian commitment and compatibility with an honor code of conduct are essential.
Chair responsibilities may include such things as faculty and course scheduling, curriculum modifications, student advising, and the integration of university-wide initiatives in the college.
The Chair also ensures that the F&FCOB student learning experience reflects best teaching practices and addresses industry needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Doctorate in Finance (Ph.D. preferred)
- Full-time teaching experience (minimum of 3 years recommended)
- Industry experience (minimum of 3 years recommended)
- Some level of scholarship (presentations and publications) expected
- Certifications in finance (CFP, CFA, CKA) given preference
- Experienced teaching in a CFP Board-approved certification program given preference.

Security officer
JOB DESCRIPTION
FULL-TIME
The Public Safety Officer is responsible for the safe and effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery from threats to the safety, security and welfare of ORU students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
This is a second-shift position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors as well as University buildings, facilities, and grounds by regularly patrolling assigned areas.
Observing for unauthorized personnel or activities, enforcing University rules, regulations and policies. Reporting violations to appropriate authority, checking doors and locks for proper operation, securing and locking buildings and windows as directed.
Rendering assistance and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Reduces the potential for the loss of life and / or destruction of property by conducting visual surveys for potentially dangerous or unsafe areas, buildings, and conditions.
- Enforces University parking and traffic regulations by being knowledgeable of the parking and traffic regulations, issuing parking tickets, arranging for improperly parked vehicles to be towed from campus and for bicycles to be secured and issued a violation notice.
Rendering assistance with traffic accidents and assist in preparing reports regarding on-campus traffic accidents.
- Renders assistance to injured students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus by determining the need for medical attention beyond the capability to provide, contacting the appropriate agency / office to facilitate emergency medical attention, and remaining with the injured person(s) until relieved by an appropriate authority.
- Ensures that information regarding changes to departmental procedures or policies, particularly regarding unique or special up-coming events, is provided to successive shifts by briefing the subsequent shift regarding such changes and any other information gathered during the shift which may be useful or appropriate..
REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
Must meet minimum firearms qualifications and requirement of 70% with department handgun.
- Must be bondable.
- CLEET certified / licensed is required within 90 days of employment. Must maintain good standing with the licensing authority with state of Oklahoma and meet all future and current requirements.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have an excellent driving record for the purpose of driving University vehicle.
