Position Description :

  • Responsible for body interior components on F150 at Kansas City Assembly Plant
  • Support plant on any Stop ships, campaigns, quality issues.
  • Lead V03 - Seating and co-lead on V05 Restraints
  • Early Claims Binning / re-binning, read claims, contact dealerships on parts, make HOT requests to ship parts to suppliers for root cause evaluation.
  • Manage Quality project inputs, project health, and glidepaths.
  • Provide part signoff's to support builds.
  • Review and sign-off Supplier Request for Engineering Authorization.
  • Support Plant Material Cost Reduction blitzes.
  • Chair / support Chassis Variability Reduction Team meetings.
  • Support First Time Through issue resolution at plant.
  • Participate in Dearborn-based Vehicle Functional Group and Functional Quality Review meetings when on the agenda.
  • Cooridnate / Support engineering change trials. Use the local supplier rep if available.

Position Description :

have an interest in controls engineering with strong aptitude to quickly learn and apply controls knowledge. Direct program experience with assembly and machining controls architectures (hardware / software).

Knowledge of programming principles on Siemens PLC and CNC / Motion controls systems. Hands-on knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC, CNC, robot, vision, and other automation issues.

Knowledge of cell machining systems and integration of CNC controls, gantries, and auxiliary equipment as an asset. Knowledge of assembly and machining RFID systems including complexity management, and QOS strategies.

Knowledge of international electrical / safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC etc) and familiarity with internal / external safety processes (risk assessments, PSS, integrated safety etc).

Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints. Ability to design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.

Understanding of communication network architectures and field bus protocols. Extensive knowledge of PTME IT standard footprint applications such as FIS, QLSM, QWX, GPTS, QDAS, OBL, PDS etc.

Exposure and knowledge of all program delivery elements from the cost study phase to launch. Able to read and modify Core Controls Specifications

Position Description :

  • Coordinate resources to find root cause and fixes, manage and breakdown problems into items that can be validated. Determine proper validation methods.
  • Handle setup and maintenance of industrial bar code printers
  • Utilize sound knowledge design and implement vision control systems. Familiar with different types of vision cameras and their programing software.

Continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery

  • Use FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times of equipment, review and follow up project installations.
  • Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements.
  • Update program backups for machinery and automation
  • Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robots
  • As part of a team, review risk assessments and evaluate equipment safety.
  • Assist in training manufacturing personnel and plant electricians.
  • Read and modify electrical prints and schematics, Auto CAD
  • Maintain familiarity with OA, CPN / MPN networks and communication protocols for connecting to wireless and wired networks.
  • Manage installation and maintenance of virus protection software for controls network PCs, perform PC backup disc images and installation of communication and firmware and controls software.
  • Work overtime and weekends as needed

Skills Required :
