Your Role
The Data Analyst will perform data acquisition, transformation, enrichment, and analysis in support of Internal Audit activities.
The Data Analyst will liaise and collaborate with Risk Intelligence and Analytics colleagues and Internal Audit teams to design creative use cases, acquire, transform, enrich, and analyze data to deliver meaningful results and insights to stakeholders.
You will be responsible for :
Acquiring, transforming, enriching, and analyzing data supporting risk and control related activities
Designing, building, and maintaining analytical tools supporting individual tasks and projects
Developing and maintaining programming code, software packages, and data sets to supporting ongoing analytics activities
Exercising judgment in determining application of data analytics for business processes
Keeping apprised of broader Risk Intelligence activities, capabilities to maximize effective use of strategic development and technologies
Supporting business partners, data analysts, consumers’ understanding of analysis logic and outcomes
Introducing new data analytic techniques, tools, and technologies to business partners and consumers
Sharing learnings and alternative techniques with other Engineers and Data Analysts
Performing other duties and special projects as assigned by the Enterprise Risk Analytics leadership team and other leaders across Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit
Actively contributing to developing a culture of innovation within the department and risk and control awareness throughout the organization
The experience you bring :
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in data analysis, data transformation, or data-related risk management or auditing roles;
previous experience in programming will be considered
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred. Other technology or quantitative related degrees considered depending upon relevant experience
Experience with auditing, compliance, or other risk management activities preferred
Experience within the financial services sector preferred
Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify, design, and deliver solutions based on high level objectives and detailed requirements.
Thoroughly identify and investigate issues and determine the appropriate course of action
Excellent with data extraction, transformation, and load processes (ETL), structured query language (SQL), and database management.
Experience using end user data analytics software such as Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, Excel a plus
Experience with data interrogation and enrichment using Snowflake a plus
Proficient in code development supporting data analytics and visualization a plus, specifically programming languages and libraries such as R, Python, Streamlit, Snowpark, and Plotly
Understanding of capital markets, financial securities, and financial concepts such as portfolio management, regulatory compliance, and risk management
Familiarity with information systems utilized by asset management firms, such as order management systems and portfolio management systems a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse, cross-functional, and international environment
Professional audit, risk management, analytics, business intelligence, and / or development designation (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, CFA, CAP, CBIP, or other relevant product specific certificates) or actively pursuing the completion of such designation preferred
Other certifications considered depending on domain and relevant experience
Potential for up to 10% domestic and international travel
