Contracts Administrator

The Opportunity :

The Contract Administrator role is primarily responsible for the review and analysis of contract documents, classification of contracts based on defined attributes and entry of contract information into OpenText’s Contract Center.

You are great at :

  • Reviewing contracts contained in multiple archives and databases
  • Identifying relevant contract and meta data information
  • Classifying contracts based on type and content
  • Determining in force / active contracts by validating against monthly revenue numbers
  • Entering and updating contract information in contract management system
  • Assisting in cross training new Contracts Administrator on project requirements
  • Working collaboratively with Contracts Administrators working locally or remotely to resolve questions (as required)

  • Bachelor’s degree, college diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience working with software and technology contracts, either as a contracts administrator, as a legal assistant or as a billing administrator with high visibility to contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate requirements into defined business solutions.
  • Organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to shift easily between a variety of tasks with ease
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced and changing environment, with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Finance and related activities ie : Ability to validate revenue against a contract
  • Possess a high degree of critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, logic-based thinking, strong creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with multiple functional teams at OpenText involved in the project; including Legal, Information Technology, Sales and Customer Management and Finance
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Amenable to work mid-shift.

Sr. Financial Analyst

The Opportunity :

Senior Financial Analyst responsible for managing and delivering accurate and timely royalty statements, calculations, performing reviews, analysis, and reconciliations.

Analyzing data is a key part of this role, so candidates for this position should be able to accurately compile, compare, spot trends and anomalies within statistical data.

Will be responsible for liaising with partners concerning royalty inquiries, which requires exceptional customer service skills.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, as they will need to work closely with external & internal stakeholders.

You are good at :

Extracting the revenue reports specific to required SKU / Services lines and calculation of associated Royalty for 3rd party vendors.

Month end close - determining & recording of Accruals accurately for the period.

Amortization of the prepaid royalty over the duration of the contract during month end.

Distribution of the final Royalty reports with the vendors and alignment to the calculation per contract terms.

Maintaining the Royalty amortization schedules, payments tracker.

Liaising with AP team on timely processing of the invoices and payment.

Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Preparing, reviewing & approving.

Provide ad-hoc royalty expense historical / trend analysis to businesses in a timely and accurate manner to guide and influence strategic decision making.

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and support process improvement initiatives.

Drive research and resolution of vendor issues.

Support Financial and Sox Audits.

Update & create process documentation.

Assist ad-hoc projects, as requested by Leadership.

Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

What it takes :

Accounting graduates with 8-10 years of relevant matching experience

Experience with applications such as Netsuite, Tableau, SAP is preferred.

Strong excel skills.

Knowledge of and experience with the analysis and reporting of financial and operational data, including ability to digest large quantities of data in order to build financial and management reports.

Ability to lead special projects as needed to provide analytical and decision support on new initiatives.

Experience in working with large amounts of data along with the ability to compile and extract insights from multiple data sources.

Ability to communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner and lead discussions with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of services delivered by finance teams (Procure to Pay)

Process improvement ideas for effective task management within deadlines, in shared service environment

Strong business acumen and analytical skills (MIS reporting)

Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decision in situation requiring trade-off.

Self-motivator with the ability and confidence to work independently and to strict deadlines.

The Opportunity :

Working as part of the Global Information Security team, the Security Architect is expected to understand a wide array of IT security controls, secure infrastructure, product, and solution development concepts.

The Security Architect will review quarterly Open Text Cloud solution releases looking at each solution’s use of secure data transport, secure data handling and storage, secure identity management and authentication, secure secrets and key management, and assess solution data flow diagrams and components.

This hands-on role requires some knowledge of various security concepts, such as, secure commercial platform architecture, secure cloud and web application architecture, risk models, common industry security best practices, and other common IT security domain concepts.

The candidate does not need to have knowledge of all of these; mentoring will be provided for this position.

You Are Great At :

  • Leading efforts on behalf of a Global Information Security (GIS) team to service and support governance and risk management initiatives.
  • Conducting security architecture reviews of OpenText web and cloud solutions.
  • Working cross-functionally with multiple teams and organizations in a collaborative and instructive manner to drive security best practices and ensure the secure implementation of Open Text web and cloud solutions.

What it takes :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, or similar degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years in network, information systems, information security, or application engineering.
  • A passion for security and a curiosity and eagerness to learn more in the field of Information Security.
