Job Duties
Provides psychosocial interventions to individuals; performs individual,family or group interventions (, testing, education and groupwork) focusing on problem-solving,coping skills, sexuality education, etc.
- develops intervention goals &objectives designed to give education & resolve individuals’ problems;participates in process of establishing, implementing & evaluating goalsand objectives;
- interviews individuals & individual’s families to establishcase goals and objectives; assesses individuals & determines specific interventiontechniques for individuals;
monitors individual & provides feedback oneffectiveness of prescribed interventions.
Maintains contact with probate courts for involuntary commitments andguardianships. Maintains processes tosupport individuals’ rights and resolution of complaints.
Plans events designed to improve self-esteemand quality of life. Serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.
Attendsmeetings (, PCPs, special team) & court hearings; establishes& maintains working relationship with other facilities, agencies andsupport services (, courts and mental health) in order tocoordinate referrals & conduct follow-up services.
Completes and maintainsconsents upon admissions and as needed. Coordinates services with funeralhomes, memorials, and ensures religious preferences are met.
