This job follows established procedures and under the supervision of the shift supervisor, provides security for patients, employees, as assigned and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Enforces company policies and procedures and performs assigned duties that ensure the security of patients, guests, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - 1 year Security, law enforcement, or military.
Previous experience or is presently, an armed police officer with a Louisiana or Federal Law
Enforcement Agency (reserve status is acceptable) and has had arrest power and been assigned in an active law enforcement capacity.
Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Completion of Certified Police Officer of Standard Training Policy Academy (state or federal).
Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification
Valid Louisiana driver’s license and clean DMV report
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.

- Participates in emergency response and related preparedness drills.
- Maintains required annual certifications and completes training requirements within required time periods.
