Haddington Dynamics (part of Ocado Group plc.) is an advanced research and development company applying cutting-edge reconfigurable supercomputing technology to low-cost, ultra-precision motion control for robotics, 3D printing, and automation.
Haddington's innovation in the low-cost robotics space as well as our deep knowledge of additive manufacturing have produced our family of purpose-built 5-axis robots that are fully trainable and human-safe.
We leverage accessible, high-level languages for applications including 3D Printing, PCBA, and our current focus : merchandise pick and place.
Our current FPGA platform processes 2M measurements per second, enabling 50 nm resolution, 50 μm repeatability, and real-time force feedback.
The processing speed and resolution, combined with Haddington's haptic algorithms, make the robot intrinsically human-safe and capable of manual training.
Haddington is located in Las Vegas, Nevada and is part of the UK-based Ocado Group plc.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on our Robotics Hardware Team, helping us create the most advanced robots in the world for our customers.
You will work closely with other Mechanical Engineers designing structural and motion components using OnShape for both large and small robotic systems.

Expectations & Qualifications of the role :
- Design and prototype mechanical components for both large and small-scale applications
- Able to design both structural and motion assemblies
- Fully competent in CAD design. Work will be done in OnShape, experience in SolidWorks or other major CAD packages is perfectly acceptable.
- Able to design for both traditional and rapid manufacturing methods
- 3+ years as a mechanical or mechatronics engineer in robotics, automotive, or aerospace industries
- Some electrical experience preferred
- Bonus skills : experience with 3D printing

Contract Type : Full Time - 40 hours
Work Pattern - 5x8 Hour Shift Per week. Shifts will be AM & PM's which will include weekends on a 40 hour permanent contract.
You will know your shifts 13 weeks in advance.
Location : Park Royal, Greater London, NW10
