This is a Full-Time position at Northwest Medical Center.

Summary :

Provides security for patients, employees and visitors; protects facility buildings, assets and premises as assigned. Patrols campus buildings and premises to discourage theft, vandalism, and unauthorized intruders while watching for the occurrence of fires.

Writes "Incident Reports" and supports the report with investigative follow-up. All written documentation is proof read for spelling and grammatical errors then submitted in a timely manner.

Photographs are taken when applicable. Conducts periodic patrols of the assigned adjacent buildings and monitors all safety concerns.

Works with clinical personnel when child custody issues or patient protection issues are present.

Position Qualification / Minimum Requirements

Education :

Master's of Social Work degree

Experience

Required : Two (2) years of clinical / hospital experience or 2 years of experience in related area.

Preferred : Five (5) years experience.

Skills :

Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, or electronic means. Strong organizational and customer service skills.

Ability to interview others and assess situations, prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum One (1) year experience in direct patient care. Prefer experience in phlebotomy and laboratory testing / specimen preparation.

Excellent PC skills. BLS / CPR certification. Possess exceptional communication skills, critical thinking skills, and independent decision making skills.

Seasonal Respiratory Therapist

This is a seasonal, 13 week assignment working a night shift as a Respiratory Therapist at Oro Valley Hospital.

Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.

Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager. Associate's degree and a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

May be expected to maintain a CPR certification. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
