Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary : The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area on patient floors, public areas, and employee areas.
What qualifications you will need :
Licensure / Certification / Registration : NA
Education : Must be able to read and understand English for safety.
Experience : Housekeeping in the healthcare industry desirable.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Must be able to work for an extended amount of time on your feet. Must have both internal and external customer service skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Good organization skills are a must.

Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary :
- Performs all technical procedures, maintains knowledge of all procedures and protocols pertinent to the department. Maintains proficiency in performance of technical procedures, including venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
- Collects and processes specimens on patients of all ages as required. Performs test requests on patients with many different clinical conditions (from screening of healthy outpatients up to and including the major, complex intensive care patients) and all age ranges from newborns to geriatric patients.
- Assists the clerical duties of the department.
- Performs required function verification of equipment.
- Communicates with other allied health care professionals and patients according to job requirements.
- Performs testing in clinical Lab departments as assigned, following the policies and procedures of that department.
What qualifications you will need :
Licensure / Certification / Registration : ASCP, HEW or AMT required within 6 months of hire. ASCP is the preferred certification.
Continued employment will be based on valid certification
Education : Associates / Bachelors or High school Diploma / GED with work experience prior to 1995
Experience : 1-2 years of clinical laboratory experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate in a clear, concise manner with coworkers, physicians, nursing staff and patients.
Must demonstrate above average manual dexterity. Must have working knowledge of laboratory computers and instrumentation.
