Position : Finance Manager
Reports to : Director, Financial Planning
Organization : Corporate Supply Chain Finance
Location : Norwalk, CT or Atlanta, GA or Huntersville, NC
The Finance Manager functions as a business support lead to the Enterprise Procurement team for Newell Brands. Core activities include analytical efforts associated with understanding strategic decision support, pricing, supporting the monthly financial close, and cost reduction monitoring.
Works closely with sourced finished goods sourcing team, segment finance, and other key stakeholders to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as communicate with senior management.
The Finance Manager key responsibilities are as follows :
- Monitor Material pricing and variance accounts for Sourced Finished Goods and Duties.
- Prepare month end analysis of cost by product category.
- Assist with annual cost standard setting process
- Prepare journal entries for month end financial close.
- Work with segment finance to provide accurate cost and variance forecasts
- Perform make vs. buy analyses to support cross functional corporate and segment work streams.
- Recommend, implement and monitor process improvements for the supply chain finance team.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Provide career development / coaching and mentoring to finance analysts
- Provide strong leadership and communication to the business
- Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities
Qualifications :
- Analysis, Accounting experience (7-10 years) able to demonstrate with examples.
- A Bachelor's or MBA from an accredited institution
- An ability to work with people at all levels of an organization and in a variety of disciplines
- Strong Computer Skills with advanced to Expert level in Excel
- Standard Cost Knowledge & Experience
- Financial Analysis & Modeling Experience
- Works Well in Teams - Strong communication skills
- Proactive Team Player

- Cost Accounting experience

The Connecticut pay range for this position is from $114,000 to $120,000. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.

Summary :
The Planner shares in driving strategy, demand forecasting and inventory management for a multi-channel category in the outdoor apparel and equipment space.
This role is both data driven and collaborative as you are the end-to-end planning owner of a category. You will develop a pre-season forecast, attend and engage in both pre-line and sell-in meetings, aggregate a demand plan culminating in a global SKU level supply plan that balances service, optimizes inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
You will be the planning point of contact for several key accounts and incorporating their feedback into our planning deliverables.

Responsibilities :
- End-to-end owner of all aspects of planning for a category, managing a portfolio of over 3000 skus across multiple seasons for multiple regions and channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to gather and understand information including forecast drivers, product attributes, and timelines to fully deliver product on-time.
Closely communicate changes and impacts to key stakeholders while maintaining a culture of transparency and operational rigor.
Monthly touchpoints with sales partners aligning on key metrics such as forecasts and targets. With Retail stores, you will manage order form creation, Square item validation, and purchase order entry.
Continuously improve forecasting technique, method, and approach. Execute demand and supply planning strategies and initiatives focused on process improvement and standardization.
Forecast receipt need at the sku level and identify receipt month need based on historical trend and forward-looking changes.
Manage the size curve and flow execution. Assist in rolling out a new replenishment model. Execute redirect and transfer strategy at a global level to ensure the proper allocation of inventory.
Analyze data and synthesize information to take necessary actions that support company goals and improved fulfillment. Define, measure, and diagnose key performance indicators.
Participates and provides insight in S&OP meetings highlighting risk / opportunity as it pertains to achieving our monthly forecast.
Speak to demand / supply imbalances, supply gaps, and changes that have been made to align to budgets and capacity plans.
Attend cross-functional meetings, and follow-up in a timely manner.Minimize excess and obsolete. Work with our Sourcing and Production teams to renegotiate minimum order quantities where appropriate.
Special projects and other duties to support continuous improvement, such as planning tool development and implementation and documenting best practices into a training library.
Key Qualifications :
- University or four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in wholesale or retail customer service, order management, inventory planning, or other supply chain management role preferred.
Outdoor and / or apparel industry experience welcomed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIF). SAP experience a plus.
- Comfortable collaborating with a close-knit and highly engaged team.
- Analytical skills and the ability to formulate data-driven solutions. Able to clean, analyze, and extrapolate key trends from large data sets.
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter, and comfortable taking initiative. Capable of producing high quality results on a sustainable basis and clearly articulate time-sensitive information that drives decision making across the entire business unit.
- Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to simplify complex issues into actionable insights and communicate next steps.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively influence both internal and external customers / relationships.

Associate Manager, Digital Marketing - Amazon
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Team is an integral part of Newell Brands that focuses on acquiring and retaining consumers online across our distribution channels using media strategy and tactical execution to deliver for our iconic portfolio of brands.
As the Associate Manager, Digital Marketing, you will lead execution of digital activation. You will be in lock-step with your brand and sales counterparts to understand long and short term goals to translate into effective digital campaigns across channels.
You will be responsible for the execution and tracking of Amazon digital media campaigns across brands and channels. You will support in development of best-in-class media plans that translate business goals to actionable media execution.
You will consult and manage A&P budgets and have a clear understanding of how digital media spend is moving the business forward.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Execute full funnel marketing strategy on / off retail platforms to drive overall brand and eCommerce growth plans, including :
- Amazon Search & Display
- Amazon Connected TV / OLV (Online Video)
- Additional off-platform Amazon media tactics
- Partner with :
- Amazon Sales team to build eCommerce activation plans
- Internal Planning and Brand teams to determine optimal product mix, messaging and omnichannel cohesiveness
- In-house Creative and Production teams to develop best in class digital assets
- Primary media partners (Amazon Advertising and Amazon agency) to drive growth
- Analytics to understand sales lift and performance trends to optimize the media mix
- Leverage state of the art analytics tools to understand customer activation and digital campaign performance and distill insights to help drive growth
- Support on strategic projects around content development, catalogue improvement, paid digital media program recap and comparison, marketing website management
- Involvement in preparation for key customer and internal planning meetings with cross-functional teams to help achieve aligned priorities and goals
- Execute setup and management of campaigns in alignment with business goals and reporting expectations
- Support in development of best practices for campaign, ad group / ad set, targeting and creative execution
- Deliver budget pacing to track and optimize elements of digital advertising campaigns across a given time period
- Determine improvements to campaign performance by narrowing or broadening targeting, changing campaign goals or inputs, shifting budget, switching creatives / copy, A / B testing platform features, etc.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar field required
- 2-4 years of digital marketing and / or eCommerce work experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive improvement of digital KPIs via a strong analytical mindset
- Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
- Strong communication skills with an ability to educate and influence cross-functional teams, key stakeholders, and external partners regarding the opportunity in this unique channel
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a record of finding feasible solutions to complex problems, especially in a fluid, multi-stakeholder environment with incomplete information and tight timeline
- Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer durables industry, and / or retail strongly preferred
- Experience with Amazon Advertising and / or Retailer Media a plus
