New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology / Hematology group, is seeking Medical Assistants to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation.

Practice manages a freestanding outpatient Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will :

  • Measure and record patients' vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examinations
  • Sterilize medical equipment and instruments
  • Provide assistance to physicians during examinations
  • Collect and process lab specimens
  • Perform venipuncture & Point of care testing
  • Administer EKGs

We require :

  • Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma at least 1 year of experience
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish speaking preferred
  • Proficiency in Word / Excel

Hours : Monday Friday and alternating Saturdays

Salary up to $28 per hour.

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology / Hematology group, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation.

Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role, you will :

  • Be responsible for the daily opening and closing procedures of the office.
  • Welcome all patients and visitors by greeting them in a pleasant, professional manner.
  • Answer telephones; respond to inquiries; resolve issues; schedule patient appointments.
  • Collect co pays and balance total finances of the office on a daily basis.
  • Assist patients with the completion of all necessary forms and documentation.
  • Build and maintain patient records through the use of the practice EMR system.
  • Build, monitor and maintain physician schedules according to suggested scheduling rubrics.
  • Assist with the daily distribution of quality assurance surveys and prevention screenings.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming messages from Care Team inboxes in collaboration with nurse.
  • Monitor daily visit lists to ensure all patients who require appointments are scheduled appropriately.
  • Protect patient privacy by adhering to the HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
  • Contribute to a team effort by smoothly transitioning into other related daily roles, as necessary.
  • Maintain daily operations of the office by following standard policies and procedures.

We require :

  • High School diploma with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accept direction and work within a team concept.
  • Possession of typing and computer skills an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Previous experience an asset.

NYCBS manages a freestanding outpatient Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will :

  • Manage and oversee the financial accounting for multiple related entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of each entity's business model, operations, and financial structure to manage and consolidate financial data effectively.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data across all entities.
  • Efficiently utilize QuickBooks Online for all accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for each entity on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline and optimize accounting processes across all entities.
  • Support the development of budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic plans for each entity.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

We require :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on financial management.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks Online and proficiency in other accounting software and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and applicable tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive results.

Compensation up to $85,000 / yr, commensurate with experience.
