New Relic's Growth Marketing division is in search of an SEO Manager who will steer a comprehensive SEO strategy to effectively reach new and existing customers by enhancing our website's visibility and augmenting organic traffic.

In this role, you will be coordinating with cross-functional teams (content creation, web development, social media, etc) to align SEO efforts with business objectives, using data to provide well-founded recommendations and discover novel opportunities for boosting customer engagement.

You'll be defining suitable metrics to measure the efficiency of SEO across New Relic, and providing partner teams with in-depth data and reporting conversions).

You will have a consistent track record in driving organic growth and improved search rankings. They should possess a solid understanding of SEO strategies and technical SEO.

You should have excellent data analysis skills, be able to interpret complex data to inform actionable strategies, and have experience with website optimization tools.

You should also bring an inquisitive approach to SEO, understanding how fluid and constantly evolving this channel is and keeping abreast of the latest SEO tools and models, such as LLM models and Bard, that are reshaping the SEO ecosystem.

You should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and strong collaboration skills. A passion for setting SEO trends, fueled by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to continuously learn and adapt in the ever-evolving landscape of SEO, is a must!

What you'll do

Guide Successful, Data-Driven SEO Strategy Be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on organic traffic and search engine rankings.

Use this data to inform our SEO strategy, prioritize SEO initiatives, and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Monitor Our Website for Technical SEO Improvements - Use internal and external tools to monitor our websites for needed technical improvements around SEO and ensure that the appropriate engineering teams have them on their roadmap and complete them.
  • Support and Inform Content-Creation Teams Collaborate with various teams to implement SEO best practices in their content creation process.

Provide data-driven insights into content performance and guide teams in optimizing existing and future content for search engines.

Optimize and Amplify Organic Traffic Implement on-page and off-page SEO techniques to improve our search engine visibility, attract our target audience, and increase organic traffic.

Regularly audit our website to identify SEO issues and recommend improvements. Stay updated with the latest trends and changes in search engine algorithms to ensure our strategy remains effective.

  • Collaborate and execute the SEO strategy and roadmap based on opportunity analysis, SEO standard methodologies and trends, sophisticated keyword research, continuous performance monitoring, and technical SEO diagnostics to drive organic traffic and increase website conversions.
  • Conduct SEO audits of the website and recommend changes to optimize website content to achieve higher search engine rankings and attract the target audience.

Work closely with the web development team to ensure best practices are incorporated into code.

  • Collaborate with content teams to create high-quality content based on relevant terms and topics.
  • Build high-quality backlinks from reputable websites and execute other off-page optimization activities.
  • Coordinate with social media and digital marketing teams to align strategies across all platforms.
  • Monitor performance metrics to understand the effectiveness of SEO strategies. Provide regular reports on SEO performance to the management team, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Use SEO tools for tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance.

This role requires

  • 3+ years of validated SEO experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a track record of increasing rankings, traffic, and conversion rates.
  • In-depth knowledge of current SEO tools and practices, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, or similar.
  • Understanding of critical SEO ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and updates.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insightful reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred

Bonus points if you have

  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with A / B testing
  • Demonstrated ability to work backward from goal to develop executable strategy
  • Ability to predict business needs for accelerated growth
  • Expert-level usage of Google Analytics
  • Technical writing background
