Nemours is seeking a Courier / Driver to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Jacksonville, FL.
The Courier provides support to the North Florida Plant Operations in Jacksonville, and surrounding areas, Fl through delivering products, to locations including but not limited to Home Office, Satellite locations and various businesses / banks when deemed necessary.
This position will also have light maintenance duties to support the daily operations of Maintenance.
1. Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee’s supervisor.
2. Maintains and schedules all vehicle required service.
3. Tracks vehicle daily usage.
4. Responsible for maintaining schedule to include last minute delivery / pickup requests.
5. Tracks packages delivered by taking photo and placing on Shared drive
6. Assists maintenance with miscellaneous tasks (lightbulbs, minor repairs).
7. Fuel vehicle and submit receipts into Admin
HS Diploma or equivalent required
3-5 year of relevant experience required

Social Worker-LCSW
LCSW Required.
This position is responsible for :
Facilitating the adjustment of the patient and family to illness and to help the family and the individual function optimally.
The social worker will provide psychotherapy and psychosocial support for children with a broad array of diagnoses, including but not limited to adjustment to medical illness, ADHD, depression, anxiety and autism spectrum disorders.
Services are provided to assist the family in the best utilization of the health care system and link them with the variety of services necessary to meet their individual needs.
The social worker must be knowledgeable of age specific principle of growth and development. The social worker must possess effective communication skill needed to collaborate with all members of the health care team.
1. Manage complex assessments of the patient / family’s biopsychosocial situation and establishes goals.
2. Periodically reassesses the patient / family situation and modify plan as needed.
3. Provide services to address social needs of patients receiving care in their assigned clinic, including but not limited to, domestic violence, psychiatric emergency cases, child abuse, family disputes, end of life and bereavement, Social Determinants of Health, and compliance with treatment.
4. Participate in the interdisciplinary assessment and treatment of patients and their families, and provide consultation for physicians and other members of the health care team to determine current psychosocial needs.
5. Work with the multidisciplinary team to address the mental and behavioral health needs of the patients.
6. Act as liaison between hospital and the various community agencies, which provide aid to families and children.
7. Coordinate and provide therapy sessions for patients showing a need for counseling / therapy. Provide counseling and / or therapy for patients and their families assisting them with emotional, personal, psychological, socioeconomic factors, and adjustment to illness issues, to include the entire spectrum from diagnosis throughout the treatment course.
8. Document interventions in the Electronic Medical Record following departmental guidelines.
9. Follow Medicaid, CMS and other regulatory / compliance agency requirements for documentation and billing.
10. Interface with insurance providers, case managers and others involved in the authorization of needed patient services.
11. Establish and maintain effective working relationships across disciplines.
12. Keep appraised of community resources and provide families with resource specific information.
Qualifications-
Masters degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and active LCSW licensure required.
Graduate school internship may be applied to the job related experience at the discretion of the Senior Director.
Medical Assistant
Nemours is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Ardmore, PA location.
Primary Function-
The Medical Assistant (MA) is an important liaison between the patient / family, provider, and other care team members.
The MA is responsible for coordinating patient flow by assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake, ensuring the appropriate information is available to the provider, and entering pertinent history in the medical record.
The MA performs and assists with clinical procedures in accordance with divisional / department responsibilities as directed by the provider and per protocol.
The MA is cross trained to perform designated business processes associated with an outpatient visit ensuring that all demographic and financial information is accurate.
The MA acts as a resource and provides cross coverage as needed, as well as serves as a coach and mentor to new medical assistant associates.
Essential Functions-
- Greets patients and families at the clinical setting according to Nemours Standards of Behavior.
- Verifies patient identity using two patient identifiers (name and date of birth).
- Prepares exam rooms, clinic equipment and computer technology by maintaining inventory and supplies for the outpatient visit.
- Rooms patient ensuring appropriate documents are with the patient, including required diagnostic reports.
- Receive, unpack, store, inventory, transport non-controlled substance medications
- Performs clinical duties to support the outpatient visit to include, but not limited to the following :
- Obtain and document height, weight, head circumference and vital signs
- Documents reason for visit, chief complaint and initiates orders defined by the use of smart sets as appropriate for scope of service and Nemours’ protocol.
- Performs phlebotomy to obtain blood specimens. Transcribe, collect, label and arrange for transportation of specimens.
- Assist with patient examination / treatment.
- Perform and document point of care testing.
- Administers and documents vaccines and approved medications as defined by policy as ordered.
- Operate required medical equipment.
- Accepts delegated tasks from nursing colleagues within their scope of service to assist in the flow of patient care.
- Preforms tasks associated with Nemours’ outpatient business front desk functions to include but not limited to :
- Make confirmation calls that are not completed by automated systems to ensure all visits are in confirmed status prior to visit or per Department protocol.
- Responsible for ensuring all patient insurance information is loaded and up to date prior to appointment via online verification of benefits.
This includes plan information, subscriber, and copay data be entered into the patients chart.
- At the time of patient check-in, while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements :
- Confirm all patient personal demographic information
- Confirm patient identification with two identifiers
- Confirm legal guardianship
- Confirm referral information for patient visit, if applicable
- Prepare, completed and / or collect consents and all other required documents
- Scan insurance cards and other important documents
- Collect and post co-pays and past due balances
- Achieve Registration Accuracy according to annual goal.
- Schedule follow-up appointments utilizing iGuide to determine participation, if appropriate.
- Throughout shift, regularly communicate with clinical staffing the assigned work area regarding the status of waiting patients, particularly those who have been waiting more than ten minutes.
Communicate with waiting patients / families to ensure they have status updated on their appointment.
- Reconcile payment collections accurately at the end of each shift, as per Cash Collections Policy, and completed End of Day (EOD) Reports including DCRF and LDCRS.
- Complete assigned work queues daily.
- Maintain inventory of clerical supplies and ensure the work environment and outpatient waiting room is in an orderly and clean condition to ensure patient safety and security.
- Work with families to facilitate use of the Nemours App by providing QR codes and / or instructions for download and assisting in the sign-up process.
- Maintain computer and electronic system competency including but not limited to processes for : scheduling, appointment cancellations and order entry for clinical system, use of iGuide, EOD status changes, work queue processing, linking referrals, posting other payments, use of scanner device and electronic insurance verifications, and assistance with live phone calls.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or certification as a medical assistant through an alternate pathway
- Current American Heart Associations BLS certification
- Preferred : Medical Assistant Certification : acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

Reporting to the Public Relations Manager for Florida, the PR Specialist helps develop strategic communications initiatives targeting the media, patients, and the public to enhance and protect the reputation of Nemours and its Associates.
This individual must be a self-starter with a panache for identifying and packaging compelling stories with at least five to seven years’ experience.
The role requires an understanding of how to create and drive key messages through traditional media relations, thought leadership, clinical innovation, research, digital content creation, award nominations, events support, and other tactics as identified.
The candidate should possess an aptitude for building internal and external relationships, and work toward placing stories in media markets in Orlando, the state of Florida, and national.
This role will primarily focus on supporting Nemours’ Children’s Health, Orlando, with the goal of story mining differentiators that can lead to opportunities for national recognition.
