Marketing Street Team Coordinator_Event Worker

The Street Team Coordinator will work alongside the Sr. Director, Marketing and Marketing Coordinator to plan and execute all grassroots programming and activations to promote the all-new Chicago Street Course race weekend, July 1-2.

Note - This is a seasonal position for the Chicago Street Course event.

Duties :

  • In conjunction with Marketing team, manage the logistics and operations of in-market event functions including layout, collateral, prize management, prospecting, data management and impact.
  • Manage the Chicago Street Race Promo Car, Simulator & Trophy program, planning the appearance schedule, coordinating event logistics, developing a prospect conversion plan, maintaining relationships with event contacts and delivering a positive experience for fans and partners
  • Assist with planning as needed including booking entertainment, securing décor, handling contracts & COIs, coordinating schedules and managing any other needs.
  • Maintains inventory logs of prizes, collateral and support items needed.
  • Support in the planning and execution of race weekend programming
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Sports marketing or event management experience a significant plus
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to take a project from start to finish
  • Strong ability to think strategically, creatively and quickly
  • Detail-oriented and organized with outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work through on-site event logistics and think operationally is a must
  • True team player and collaborator
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects at once within strict deadlines
  • Must be able to work extended hours and event weekends
  • Valid driver's license
  • Desire and ability to create and champion a vision
  • Strong collaboration skills are critical
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Event Tickets Sellers interact with customers in a professional and sales oriented manner. Provide customer service, product upsell and order processing to drive / walk-up customers on event day.

Positions could be outdoors and subject to the weather.

  • Event Customer Care Specialist Provide for customer service, product upsell and order processing via telephone, mail, and walk-ups.
  • Event Transportation Drivers assist Ticket Operations personnel by driving ticket sellers to / from sales locations, deliver supplies including tickets and change to sellers, and other support functions.

Must hold a current driver license and be approved to drive a company vehicle.

Performs any combination of the following duties according to specific departmental guidelines :

  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Provide exceptional customer service.

  • Ensure traffic flow and parking allows for access of emergency vehicles

  • Maintain knowledge of facility and event, i.e. providing directions
  • Assist with clean-up of debris from parking lots when needed
  • Utilize hand signals and lights to direct guests into open spots
  • Position and move barricades, cones and signage as needed
  • Manage and resolve guest questions while providing excellent customer service
  • Communicate with supervisors with relevant information of guests violating rules or if suspicious activity is observed
  • Cell phone usage is discouraged while parking vehicles
  • Individuals driving rental vehicles and / or golf carts must possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle license inspection.

As a Parking Services Attendant, you must be able to walk and stand for your entire shift and lift up to 20 pounds. In addition, parking attendants will be required to direct traffic by utilizing a flag or arms.

These positions are located outside and attendants must be prepared to work in all weather including windy, muddy or rainy conditions.

Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway - Illinois' largest sporting facility - is located in Joliet, Ill., approximately 30 miles south of downtown Chicago on Old Historic Route 66.

The multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex annually hosts a broad array of programming encompassing more than 100 events, including major motorsports entertainment, endurance events, musical concerts and festivals, corporate training seminars, industry trade shows, and much more.

Chicagoland Speedway, a 1.5 mile paved oval, hosts racing events of the major U.S. racing series, and currently conducts races in all three NASCAR national series, including the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the NASCAR Cup Series.

Chicagoland Speedway operates along with Route 66 Raceway, a multimillion-dollar complex that includes a ¼ mile stadium-style drag strip and a ½ mile dirt oval track.

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

  • Provide visible security presence to guests and employees
  • Greet all guests entering the facility
  • Log all guests who are on property and have necessary waivers signed
  • Perform building, gate and property perimeter checks
  • Responsible for keeping people out of unauthorized areas
  • Report emergencies to manager

Qualifications
