Pay $17.00 per hour
Reports to the designated director, manager,administrator, or supervisor. Responsible for performing a varietyof routine clerical and departmental duties.
- Receive telephone calls and visitors;handle routine matters personally and route non routine business toproper staff for consideration.
- Maintaincalendar and schedule appointments.
- Act asliaison between manager, director and other center and departmentalstaff.
- Maintain correspondence control log,receive incoming and outgoing mail and follow up on dates foraction items.
- Review and audit all assignedareas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness ofdelivery of services to student.
Prepare relatedreports.
- Perform a variety of clerical andadministrative duties; preparation of special reports, type anddistribute meeting minutes, maintain files and records, statisticaldata, make travel arrangements, etc. asrequired.
- Maintain a safe and clean work areathat models high standards for a workenvironment.
- Enter information into CIS, EISand other automated system asdirected.
Education andExperience Requirements :
High schooldiploma or equivalent and one year related experience required.Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communicationsskills and computer proficiency required.
Valid driver’slicense with an acceptable driving record, unless waived bymanagement.

- Set up andcheck operation of intrusion alarm systems in building asrequired
- Assist staff and law enforcementpersonnel in controlling disturbances; conduct preliminaryinvestigation of crimes
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
- HighSchool diploma or equivalent
- Two years relatedexperience
- Security guard certification orability to obtain certification within 90 days of employmentrequire

PositionSummary :

2. Interview interested candidates and obtain pertinentinformation on each one.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the OA / CTS Manager, the Marketing Specialist isresponsible for directing the contracts outreach, public relationsplans and outreach activities to increase the interest in youth toapply for the Job Corps program in compliance with government andmanagement directives.
Essentialfunctions include but not limited to :
- Developand take the leadership role in the contract’s outreachand public relations plan and activities. Ensure contacts areestablished as stipulated in the plan.
- Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking;develop linkages with referral sources such as human servicesagencies, recreation centers, youth organizations and churches;
contract potential enrollees to explore enrollment at bothWaimanalo & Maui campuses.
- FacilitateBusiness Engagement Initiative teams on a quarterly basis for bothWaimanalo & Maui Campuses.
- Conductemployer outreach activities, developing linkages with industriesmatching the site’s career technical offering.
- Prepare, schedule and provide outreachpresentations in coordination with the assigned admissionscounselor from that area.
- Stay current withcenter information for the assigned centers to include tradeavailability.
- Maintain linkages with theone-stop career centers; keep one-stops informed and updated on JobCorps.
- Maintain accountability logs oforganizations contacted, individuals contacted, and referrals toadmissions counselors.
Education & ExperienceRequirements :
- Bachelor'sdegree and one year sales or marketing experience. Directly relatedexperience may be considered in lieu of formal educationrequirements.
- Requires interisland travel ata minimum of 1-2x / monthly
- Experience workingwith youth, excellent written and verbal communication and computerproficiency also required.
