Position Information Job Type Non-Faculty Position Title Executive Assistant Position Number E Department Office of the President Location Morehouse College - Atlanta, GA Position Summary The Executive Assistant reports to the Senior Executive Assistant supporting the office and the President of the college.

This poised and polished Executive Assistant practices outstanding effective communications; unquestionable discretion and confidentiality;

and independent judgment in the planning, prioritization, and execution of projects, tasks, demands, and assignments that support both internal and external stakeholders.

The Executive Assistant is proactive and a self-starter requiring very little supervision to complete tasks and projects.

They demonstrate strong leadership acumen; has a collaborative work style; is well organized; a strategic thinker and effectively multi-tasks and prioritizes in a rapidly changing environment.

This position requires extensive use of communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitative, and written / verbal.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or field of study related to the title of this position or minimum of 10 years of work experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience for one or more Executive Leader(s) required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management certification desirable and / or project management certificates / licenses preferred
  • Previous work in higher education preferred

Preferred Education / Experience

Graduate degree preferred with a minimum of 4 years of work experience for one or more Executive Leader(s) is required.

Physical Demands

  • This position requires frequent walking, standing, talking, and sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends for special events and as necessary on the Office of the President’s projects.
  • Ability to use computers (PC and / or MAC), mobile phones, smart devices, copiers, fax machines, are necessary in the performance of this position.

  • Serve as the first point of contact in the Office of the President : greet customers and answer the main phone line.
  • Handles highly confidently and sensitive information and details with individuals inside and outside of the Campus.
  • Daily advanced calendaring and meeting preparation.
  • Assist with travel arrangement.
  • Coordinate and maintain the daily schedule and folder.
  • Prepare routine and advanced correspondence including letters, and memoranda on behalf of the office.
  • Assist with the planning and organizing of internal meetings and conference calls for the office as well as campus wide events coordinated by other executives as needed.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings held in the President’s board room.
  • Collaborate with contracted staff to manage daily operations for the Office of the President.
  • Responsible for managing vendor relations and submitting payments to Accounts Payable on behave of the Office.
  • Work on complex student problems of a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of alternate solutions.
  • Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for shipping as necessary from reporting departments and on behalf of the President.
  • Participate as needed on special projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Perform daily administrative duties for the Office of the President, as necessary.

Position Information Job Type Student Position Title Assistant Social Media Content Developer Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse The Center for Broadening Participation in computing is seeking an Assistant Social Media Content Developer to create flyers, infographics, words of affirmation illustrations, and other digital content.

As assigned, the selected individual will provide the content to the Center’s Social Media Manager for review, editing and posting. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create flyers, infographics, images, text, videos for review, editing and posting by the Center’s Social Media Manager.
  • Complete assigned projects by deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on Content Development Calendar

  • Implement graphic design best practices when constructing content
