A Day in the life :
The Environmental Technician position is responsible for performing day to day inspections of components in the LDAR Program.
This position will be responsible for maintaining and care of their monitoring equipment and overall maintenance of the LDAR inventory.
The following list of duties are the responsibility of the Environmental Technician.
- Participate and be engaged in the safety culture
- Complete comprehensive Job Safety Analysis at their jobsite
- Maintain and use all required PPE
- Perform and document calibration of monitoring instrument as required
- Perform and document calibration-precision test and response time test as required
- Perform and document field inspections accurately, safely and efficiently
- Document on leak tag completely and accurately for all leaks found
- Hang inventory tags and re-hang fallen inventory tags
- Document and report any tag maintenance and inventory discrepancies found in the field
- Document Management of Change and assist to maintain the accuracy of field inventories
- Perform and document drift assessments, where applicable
- Participate in training for career development, safety and maintaining required certifications
- Perform any other duties assigned by client or project manager(s)

Education Requirements :
- High School diploma required at minimum, preference given to applicants with an associates or bachelors degree in science related or environmental programs.
- Novice knowledge in LDAR related hardware and tools
- Novice knowledge in Federal, State and local LDAR regulations
Years of Experience :
0-2+ years of industry experience preferred
Systems :
- Experience with Workday is beneficial
- Experience with LDAR database software programs is beneficial
Licensures / Training Requirements :
- Valid Driver's License is required
- Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is beneficial
- State / Region applicable Safety Council Training is beneficial
- Refinery Safety Overview (RSO) training is beneficial
- Man lift Certified is beneficial
- First Aid and CPR Certified is beneficial
Safety / Drug Screening :
- Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening
- Must be able to successfully pass a urine, alcohol, and hair test
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work from heights
- Ability to pass an OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation, and don respiratory equipment
Travel :
Ability / willingness to travel locally and overnight 75-100% of the time

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical, which is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of 10 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, tobacco, cannabis, and toxicology testing.
Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
We are looking for a Project Manager with strong technical and industry knowledge to join our growing and dynamic laboratory.
This on-site Project Manager will join our client service team of experienced aquatic toxicology project managers (PM) based in San Diego, CA.
As a key member of the Project Management team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities, including :
- Reviewing client permits and coordinating with the Laboratory Manager and other laboratory staff to communicate scheduling requirements and to ensure that client and project needs are being met
- Ensuring that all tasks are completed within the required timeline and meet project driven turnaround time goals
- Maintaining a good relationship with clients
- Conducting data analysis and review, as well as writing and reviewing test reports
- Working closely with QA staff to provide clients with high quality, legally defensible data and report deliverables
- Working closely with the Business Development and Proposal teams to grow the existing customer base and to identify new business opportunities
- Providing feedback on the efficiency of staff resources as well as assisting in implementation process improvements
- Providing technical resources to both external and internal clients
- Promoting a positive and collaborative culture between team members
- Exhibiting an exemplary leadership model that supports overall company's success
- Comply with Enthalpy's Health and Safety Plan and Covid19 mandates
- Attending and presenting at professional conferences

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

The Fugitive Emission (FE) team is responsible for performing inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents.
A normal technician schedule averages 180 total days of work per year (including travel).

Compensation : $45,000 - $60,000 annually (Eligible for Overtime pay)

A DAY IN THE LIFE
IDEAL CANDIDATES will have an intimate understanding of oil and gas field operations (experience working in an O&G facility would be a definite asset) and have experience in performing hydrocarbon fugitive emission and / or leak detection projects.
Our US offices are located in Denver, CO, Houston, TX and Pittsburgh, PA; however, this opportunity is a 100% field position and will require extensive travel throughout the USA.
This position will focus on our clients in the USA (EPA Subpart VV, VVa, KKK, OOOO, OOOOa, and W compliance) but may also require occasional travel to work on projects in Canada or other international locations.
The FE Technician will report to the FE Team Lead. The successful candidate will be required to take a number of safety training courses prior to initiating any field activities (CPR / 1St Aid, H2S Alive, WHIMIS / TDG, Fall Protection etc.
Any candidates that already have valid training tickets will be given preference. This position includes a comprehensive safety and technical training program (both field and office based).
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a successful Environmental Engineering firm and work with a industry leading technologies used to detect and measure methane gas emissions.
As a key member of the Fugitive Emission (FE) team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including :
- Assisting in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS
- Helping to calibrate and maintain equipment
- Using various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead
- Collecting and recording emission data
- Preparing field reports as required
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- Understanding of EPA Subpart VV, VVa, KKK, OOOO, OOOOa, and W Fugitive Emission Monitoring requirements

- Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing / transmission facility experience)
- Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office are essential) and proficiency with Android OS
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts (days only)
- Ability to walk and / or stand while handling / carrying various technical equipment for extended periods of time
- Comfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe manner
- Willingness to travel
- Valid driver's license
- Preference will be given to candidates with an Associates or Bachelors Degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree / diploma;
related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing or a mechanical background are also preferred, but not required
