The Miami HEAT Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking to hire a Project Manager! The main responsibilities will be to prepare project plans, prioritize tasks and resources to achieve project objectives, and ensure adequate communication is maintained regarding project status and priorities.

This position will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, control, and completion of a wide variety of projects requiring technical expertise, knowledge of the organization, and logistics coordination while remaining aligned with the strategy, team members, and goals of the company.

This role will focus on both : current operations of the business and future products and services. This position will also support the project management team.

This position will also be responsible for exhibiting leadership skills at the highest levels and in a wide variety of contexts.

This position requires the ability to understand, explain and present sophisticated ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner.

This position will lead the project intake process, portfolio reporting, and administration for the Project Management Office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.

Leads a variety of projects simultaneously. Responsible for preparing project plans, prioritizing tasks and resources to achieve project objectives, and ensuring adequate communication is maintained regarding project status and priorities.

In addition, facilitate project team meetings.

Support the management team in maintaining a high level of awareness of project issues, risks, project status, and critical path deliverables within the overall project timeline and define requirements, establish project objectives, and define process achievements.

Anticipate issues and act proactively to address potential issues.

  • Gather and update project materials, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents.
  • Remains knowledgeable of innovative business technology and company business operations.
  • As required, develops, and coordinates the documentation of systems and project results.
  • Lead Project Management Office (PMO) administration by : Managing the intake process of new capital project requests or change requests.

Ensuring project management documentation, reports, and plans are relevant, accurate, and complete.Collecting and analyzing project data, and generating reports, graphs, and presentations as required.

Working with the project managers to ensure the PMO has the latest information, and that the information is complete and accurate.

Use critical analysis to challenge and ensure the quality of information supplied to the PMO.Supporting the PMO with senior leadership meeting facilitation and presentation preparation.

Provide project management process support by : Leading several concurrent high-transparency projects in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

Using good judgment and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable for planning and leading the effort to achieve the project goals within designated project constraints in situations that require a hybrid Agile approach.

Assisting and advising leaders, managers, and teams to best use project management subject areas and approaches.Maintaining processes to ensure project management documentation, reports, and plans are relevant, accurate, and complete.

Assisting in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; demonstrating interpersonal resources to improve capacity for project work;

and mentoring and developing team members.Performing financial analysis on all project budgets and preparing various reports for all budget forecasts.

Drive Organizational Strategy Around Project Monetization by : Aligning with key partners across the organization to understand department needs, strengths, and opportunities.

Transforming areas of the arena that are underutilized into assets that can generate revenue through F&B, retail, sponsorship, or ticket sales.

Researching and sharing innovations from across sports and entertainment that can be customized and successfully implemented at the Kaseya Center.

Driving teamwork between Sales and the Project Management Office ensuring all projects are thoroughly vetted for revenue opportunities.

Education and / or Experience

Four-year college diploma or university degree in business, or project management preferred. PMP preferred. Five years of solid experience in project management and significant exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, Agile, etc.

Solid understanding of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Visio, and other tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com).
