Job Description :

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance

Management System (CMMS) Also the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.

Works closely with Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, and maintenance technicians.

Managing the spare parts inventory for the maintenance department.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Entering and maintaining data in the CMMS related to assets, spare parts, PMs, Work Orders, etc.
  • Working closely with CMMS champions at other MIWD plant locations to make sure the CMMS data is entered according to MIWD standards.
  • Training others in the proper use of the CMMS
  • Communicates directly with Purchasing and Inventory Agent regarding data in CMMS and parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled work orders and PMs
  • Communicate directly with OEMs to create suggested spare parts BOMs in CMMS system.
  • Create PMs per the OEM suggestions and modify existing PMs as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a library of OEM manuals, standard maintenance jobs, maintenance procedures.
  • Tracking and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure safety considerations are given top priority in all work order planning.
  • Prepare and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule based on priority and resource availability.
  • Maintain an organized and relevant backlog of approved maintenance work orders.
  • Creates part kits’ and gathers special tools needed for work orders and PMs to increase direct wrench time of mechanics.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities :

  • Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification helpful.
  • 3-5 years previous experience with inventory management and a CMMS system preferred.
  • General parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical equipment understanding.
  • Familiar with TPM and other maintenance improvement techniques.

Requirements

  • MIG WELDING and FABRICATION EXPERIENCE
  • Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or a combination of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 2 years of experience in a maintenance occupation in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of industrial electricity
  • Working knowledge of energy sources for each piece of utility equipment in assigned area (electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.

PLC experience a plus

  • Ability to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently when directed
  • Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints
  • Basic understanding of various diagnostic equipment including but not limited to ohms meters, voltage meters, etc. Basic knowledge and understanding of power equipment including cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc.

Maintenance Planner Scheduler

A Maintenance Planner Scheduler oversees and organizes scheduled maintenance tasks mostly Pm’s (Preventative Maintenance) but not limited to.

Making sure the parts needed to perform scheduled tasks are inhouse before scheduling work. This may include writing new PM’s for new equipment before or after it is put into service for production, rewriting PM’s on existing equipment when and where needed.

Assist others to make sure that production remain to run Safely, Efficiently and Productively when they are scheduled. Their normal shift is but not limited to 8 hours per day Monday through Friday.

Overtime of 9-10 per weekday shift and Saturday / Sunday maybe required upon production levels and schedules.
