Job Description :
Under the general direction of collaborating physicians, the advance practice provider (APP) utilizes advanced clinical and analytical skills to provide direct care and management of urogynecology patients.
The APP leverages knowledge of urologic and gynecology imaging, treatment plans, and interventions. The APP demonstrates strong leadership, is an excellent communicator, and is effectively able to prioritize a large number of patients.
Job Duties :
Assesses and evaluates patients, analyzes and interprets data, formulates problem lists and establishes plans for resolution of clinical problems.
Obtains medical history and performs general / routine gynecological examinations (speculum, bimanual pelvic examinations and general physical examinations) under indirect supervision of physician, including but not limited to pelvic exam, POP-Q exam, Pap smears, cervical / vaginal cultures.
- Assists in the OR under direct supervision of the physician and performs office procedures (endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, suturing vaginal tissue, abscess incision and drainage, management of negative pressure dressings, venipuncture, pessary fitting, suture / staple removal).
- Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing such as blood work, radiologist studies (i.e. ultrasound, CT, MRI, x-rays, mammograms, etc.
Supervises and performs urodynamic and anorectal manometry studies.
Develops with the patient, caregivers and patient care team, a mutually acceptable cost-aware plan of care that maximizes health potential.
Formulates a treatment plan which includes ordering diagnostic tests, selecting appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, identifying educational needs of the patient and family, developing a patient education plan and formulating a discharge / follow-up plan of care.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Licensed by the State of Missouri as a Physician Assistant
- Urogynecology, Women’s Health / GYN or Urology experience is preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records and database management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Physician Recruiter proactively sources, screens and coordinates all phases of recruitment for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), while maintaining working relationships with physicians, leaders and executives.
Highly organized and has a working knowledge of hospital operations.
What does a typical day on the job look like?
Develops strategic initiatives and manages all aspects of physician and APP recruitment including presentation of candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, proposing offers, negotiation and closing components involved in making physician / APP hires.
Works closely with network executive, physicians and NKCH executives to develop criteria and implement processes for selection, recruitment and staffing of physicians and APPs.
Meets physician / APP recruitment goals of the organization. Sources candidates through databases, advertising, social media, residency programs, career fairs and networking.
Communicates terms of employment offer, including compensation / benefits and tracking receipt of all documents. Ensures physicians are reimbursed for expenses related to licensure or other approved expenses (signing bonus, relocation, COBRA, house hunting, etc).
Conducts professional reference checking on candidates and communicates results to leadership and the hiring group in a timely manner.
Communicates risk management concerns, if any, to network executive and general counsel.
Coordinates onboarding activities with NKCH physician liaisons, medical staff department, human resources and credentialing specialist to provide effective and timely on-boarding.
What are the requirements for the job?
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care, or related field
- 5 years’ experience in physician recruiting, marketing and business development, preferred
- Certified Fellow of AAPPR (FASPR), preferred
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and listening skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and drive results with short time frames.
Uses discretion, sound judgment and flexibility in varying situations. Must maintain confidentiality.

The focus of the social work assignment and intervention is on providing individualized psychotherapy to primary care patients to address their behavioral health needs.
The LCSW serves as the subject matter expert for patient psychosocial and behavioral health needs, and social work practice.
Job Duties :
- Conducts diagnostic assessments and provides differential diagnosis, while treating mental health disorders and following all safety protocols while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Utilizes evidence based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, psychoanalytic, motivational interviewing and stages of changes.
- Prioritizes clinical problems, formulates individual treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances, adjusting as needed, based on continuous evaluation and assessment of progress.
Incorporates patient's needs and concerns into decision-making. Collaborates with primary provider and family when appropriate and indicated.
Provides behavioral health services to patient and family members in the areas of psychological functioning; adaptation to illness, injury, disability or life event;
and psychosocial assessment / evaluation.
Minimum Requirements :
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Current Missouri Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- 1 year position-related experience; 1-3 years experience preferred
- Demonstrates high level of professionalism and leadership with experience as a counseling LCSW.
- Expertise and proficiency in LCSW documentation and in use of the EMR. Must have an exceptional patient-centered mindset.
