Job Summary and Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.

What you will do in this role :

  • You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and / or Outpatient.
  • You will treat general OT patients to include, but not limited to Lymphedema
  • You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical / therapeutic services.
  • You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
  • You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient's needs.
  • You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.

What Qualifications You Will Need :

  • Minimum education required is a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred.
  • State of Practice Occupational Therapy License
  • Lymphedema certification preferred
  • BLS certification required upon hire

As a hospital social worker you will assist our patients in dealing with the effects of hospitalization. Patients and families are often under a lot of emotional pressure and financial stress due to illness or injury.

Additionally, there are needs that need to be addressed after discharge such as home care or rehab services. You will help our patients and their families navigate the process of illness and injury, from hospitalization to recovery.

About this unit :

Responsibilities :

  • The Social Worker will monitor the patient referral throughout the hospital stay to ensure the appropriate environment of care.
  • The role of the Social Worker is to provide supportive counseling to patients in accordance with state and federal standards of care and Managed Care partners.
  • The Social Worker will assure that medically related, emotional, psychological and social needs of the patients are met / maintained on an individual basis by collaborating with patients, families, and / or significant others and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited school with Masters Degree in Social Work preferred not required
  • Must be licensed in the state of Kansas.

Must have knowledge of community resources relating to health care needs.
