The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are hiring an Executive Assistant to support our c-suite leaders in Seattle, WA . We're looking for someone with impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven, and growing organization.

You will manage complex and rapidly changing executive schedules (Outlook) which requires flexibility and a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.

This role works closely with other members of the Executive Services team providing direct support to the c-suite leaders with day-to-day support for meetings and events, programs, and special projects.

To be successful in this role, you need to be self-motivated, anticipate needs, and have exceptional follow-through. The ideal candidate will have proven customer service skills, be proficient with technology and enjoy solving problems.

You will be relied upon to understand business priorities and play a key role in supporting and advancing department processes and maintaining alignment with the organization's annual calendar and business rhythm.

Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include :

  • Plan and coordinate meetings and events to include logistics, drafting agendas, setting up meeting sites, compiling presentation slides, ordering catering, communications, etc.
  • Effectively prioritize numerous requests and incoming information, ensuring an appropriate level of urgency is given to each.
  • Plan and manage domestic travel.
  • Assist with reports, projects, and presentations at various times throughout the year. Organize, research, and gather required data as necessary.
  • Manage complex, fast-changing executive-level calendars and scheduling for multiple executives.
  • Maintain work team's processes and procedures documentation.
  • Track and help drive completion of action items and deliverables and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Foster a positive team environment and establish working relationships inside and outside the group.
  • Respond to and resolve issues of varying complexity and ambiguity, requiring research, investigation, and follow-up.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with executives and business leaders across the organization.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Experience providing support assistance at executive and senior management levels.
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline or multi-location organization.
  • Extensive scheduling experience. (MS Outlook)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and MS Teams, and ZOOM.
  • Enjoy leveraging technology to gain efficiencies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, think critically, and solve problems before they arise.
  • A can-do attitude, nothing is too large or too small, willingness to help.

T he pay range for this position is $64,890 - $105,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We're looking for someone that loves making connections with humans and is an advocate for the trades. To be successful as a Field Recruiter you must have 3+ years recruiting experience with a focus on field recruiting and union relationships.

In this role, you will work with our Service division who handles everything from general service and repairs to complex system issues.

This is a 6 month contract role with the opportunity to convert to a full time opportunity . Additional responsibilities include :

  • Manages and defines Field Tradespersons Recruiting Program
  • Creates awareness around pathways with union
  • Takes the lead and is resourceful and persistent in driving solutions to recruiting problems
  • Screens, interviews and manages active candidates
  • Drives applicants through innovative approaches to sourcing and networking
  • Partners with local unions, attends trades events and conferences, and develops relationships with local trade schools / high schools / community colleges
  • Conducts exploratory interviews on an ongoing basis to keep consistent pipeline of talent

What You Will Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Must have prior experience recruiting for field, service, and labor positions
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Heavily networked and knowledgeable of leading search practices required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion required.
  • Some knowledge of multi-state and federal laws / regulations related to employment, such as EEO, ADA, OFCCP, and general HR practices preferred.

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Electrical Construction team in Portland. We are looking for someone who likes to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work in a fast-paced atmosphere.

You will be joining an established and diverse team where you will be able to make an immediate impact. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and are passionate about solving problems and achieving goals.

Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include :

  • Transitioning project management and engineering activities through the design to construction phase.
  • Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Preparing client and subcontractor change orders.
  • Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects.
  • Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Coach and mentor project team members.
  • Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction
  • Proficient with scheduling software : Microsoft Project, Primavera, and / or Suretrak preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and required
  • Proficient with construction estimating programs and software preferred
