Responsibilities

What it takes to be a ROBOTIC WELDER with MEC :

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one year related experience and / or training is preferred.
  • Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).
  • Ability to do basic math
  • Be able to lift and move 50 pounds
  • AWS certified or the ability to become AWS certified
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Displays ethical behavior and acts with integrity
  • Reliability

What you will be doing as a ROBOTIC WELDER :

  • Responsible for product quality, workmanship and process applications consistent with the company’s manufacturing objectives.
  • Follows safety guidelines and monitors use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions.
  • Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations.
  • Trained and certified for all welding operations, methods and processes.
  • Operational and Setup knowledge of automated and robotic weld cells.
  • Operational and Setup knowledge of resistance welders.
  • Knowledgeable on Welding Specification requirements, print reading, and weld evaluation techniques.
  • Weld process, automated fixture and machine trouble shooting skills.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
