Position Summary

Hauling asphalt, road base, and other construction materials to and from various paving and construction sites in and around the Denver Metro area.

Job also involves loading / unloading and transporting construction equipment while working closely with crew to complete projects in and efficient manner.

Work Hours : Monday - Friday with various weekends.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL with a tanker (N) endorsement.
  • No restriction (E) for a manual transmission.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Asphalt Industry.
  • Self-starter and punctual. Willing and able to work weekends and nights as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiar with all FMCSA rules and regulations in the operation of a CMV. Able to perform and document a Pre and Post Trip Inspection.
  • Safety minded and able to work well with changing schedules

Compensation We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $25.90+. Membership with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local No.

455 is required upon hire. Condition and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Job Summary This position will office out of Fort Collins, Colorado, and report to the Rocky Mountain Region Environmental Manager.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding project management skills, organization, problem-solving, and technical application abilities.

As part of the environmental Team, this position will coordinate, manage, and implement environmental compliance programs and strategies alongside production staff in Northern Colorado aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties as well as other minor duties as assigned.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following :

  • Engage, direct, and assist aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix facility plant management in ensuring environmental compliance across multiple media, including air, water, waste, endangered species, and petroleum storage tanks.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with regulators and serve as subject matter expert on technical matters between regulatory agencies, environmental management, and site personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often with professionals across multiple offices and disciplines.
  • Ensure timely submittal of construction air permit applications and renewals where needed.
  • Manage routine stormwater permitting requirements, including sampling, lab management, data reconciliation, and DMR reporting.
  • Complete onsite environmental training.
  • Complete site environmental audits, including prompt reporting and close-out of internal audit findings.

Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in environmental, engineering, biology, earth sciences, chemistry, or other related fields.
  • Experience : Five (5) - Ten (10) years of related professional experience (in addition to education requirements).

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 10% of the time for training and travel to remote locations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including waste, air, stormwater, and SPCC.
  • Strong time management and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations.
