- You will bring a solid background of success in the following areas;
- Bartending : Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and quality in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Customer Service : Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Menu Knowledge : Possess a thorough understanding of the restaurant bar's menu, including food and beverage offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Offer recommendations and answer questions regarding menu items to assist guests in making informed choices.
Mixology and Beverage Preparation : Display creativity and skill in mixology, utilizing a wide range of spirits, liqueurs, and ingredients to craft unique and appealing cocktails.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring proper handling, storage, and rotation of beverages and supplies.
- Upselling : Actively promote special offers, promotions, and upsell opportunities to maximize sales and revenue.
- Order Taking : Accurately record food and beverage orders using a point-of-sale (POS) system and relay the orders to the kitchen and / or bar team.
- Cash Handling : Process payments, issue accurate change, and maintain a balanced cash drawer. Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation : Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar equipment, glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Teamwork : Collaborate with the restaurant and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation, effective communication, and excellent guest experiences.
Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.
Compliance : Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
Qualifications :
Experience : A minimum of 6-months experience working in a bar or restaurant environment.
Bartending Skills : Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation techniques, and drink recipes. Ability to handle high-volume service and maintain composure under pressure.
Customer Service Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and deliver personalized experiences.
Team Player : Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility : Willingness to work mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (such as kegs), and perform repetitive tasks.
Legal Requirements : Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in the state of Wisconsin.
Required Licenses / Certification :
Food Safety Training certified or become certified within the first 60 days of employment.
Alcohol Awareness certifiedor become certified within the first 60 days of employment.
Preferred Technology :
Previous experience with Micros operating system.
Physical :
Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally.
Able to lift 10 lbs regularly.
Able to bend and squat repeatedly.
Able to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
