Basic Function

The Senior IT Product Analyst is a key position in the discovery and delivery of business solutions from information technology.

The Senior IT Product Analyst, through continuous consultation with the functional areas, has a deep understanding of business operations and is capable of articulating solutions in business terms and not technical jargon.

They are capable of envisioning potential value for new IT solutions. While a Senior IT Product Analyst has a deep understanding of specific business areas, that expertise is set into a broader context of understanding of the business processes and technical capabilities that may cross functional boundaries.

The Senior IT Product Analyst is an individual contributor who is responsible for helping with gathering of business requirements to ensure business objectives are met by IT solutions and is team member during the design, development, execution and support of projects and solutions.

The Senior IT Product Analyst must ensure the full systems lifecycle process is adhered to, overseeing solutions through the entire implementation process.

They must be proficient in Project Management disciplines from requirements gathering through implementation of the functional solution.

The Senior IT Product Analyst advocates for their clients and acts as the single point of contact for incident management, new services and resource allocation.

This position reports to the IT Product Team Manager and supports other Product Team Functional Analysts and COE Technical resources.

They are responsible for developing and maintaining a trusted business relationship driving the greatest possible business value from IT investments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Acts as a Lead Consultant and Subject Matter Expert on manufacturing business processes and related solutions, with a focus on Engineering applications and related integrations.
  • Maintains relationship with business colleagues with excellent communication.
  • Supports the Design / Plan and Construct Asset work stream being a subject matter expert in Engineering solutions.
  • Gathers and performs thorough analyses of all the information available.
  • Works closely with business colleagues, to quickly understand new requirements or problems, and then suggest a possible solution.
  • Lead solution design activities with client groups in a specific business area to create and to document the business requirements.
  • Create solution documentation for solutions to ensure approved requirements are met.
  • Oversees and follows up enhancements and small and mid-size projects implementation activities including development solution documents and works with functional and technical developers to ensure business requirements are clear and development activities are on schedule.
  • Develops unit test cases and performs testing to ensure requirements are met for system modifications or data extracts.
  • Demonstrates leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Manages incident and problem management for assigned functional areas and client groups in support of on-going operations ensuring compliance with stage gate and internal controls.
  • Implementation and setup of a new projects in SPI which includes project configuration, users, groups, plant hierarchy, project naming conventions - Project (SPI) domain administration, trouble shooting, user support, training.
  • Execute and resolves database audits and improve team cognizance on audit reports.
  • Detailed knowledge of SPI - Enhanced Report, External Editor, Process Data Editor, Internal Set-up Utility, DB check Utility, Import utility, Rule Manager - Knowledge of all types of deliverables issued from discipline or applications - Template & Symbol Development, Drawing & Report layout preparation.
  • Report Development including customized reports based on team / client req. - Successful creation / extraction of reports out of SPI & related applications (For documents like Instrument Index, Specification sheet, Wiring, Hook-up etc.

General drafting abilities of Smart Sketch & Specification reports - Maintain consistency within / among various applications (Rev. Management)

  • Knowledge of SPI Table structures is preferable.
  • Familiar with setup and configuring a plant site (PAU structure) and troubleshooting user access issue in both Citrix and Windows environment.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline with specialized leadership training and / or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and education
  • Understand available capabilities and services and work with supply to ensure business needs are met effectively and cost efficiently
  • 10+ years of solutions and multiple domain experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility in systems analysis, defining technical requirements, and performing high level design for complex solutions
  • 10+ years of work experience in roles that had a high level of client or end-user engagement with experience in both support and formal or informal leadership
  • Leadership, Communication and Relationship-building capability, demonstrating outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

Position Summary

Accountable for the overall execution of large scale capital projects (>

$500MM) supporting LyondellBasell’s core businesses and growth strategy. Complexity is derived from seniority level of stakeholders, number of external organizations engaged, of novel execution strategies, fabrication and procurement in varied geographies / locations, and the projects' overall size.

Such projects are not typical of those performed by the major capital execution team and require diverse skills and experience.

Accountability includes strategic and tactical matters associated with the project execution and commences during the bid development phase and continues through start-up and commissioning.

Requires significant interaction with stakeholders, strategic partners, EPCms, and suppliers to ensure effective coordination across all involved to ensure delivery on project commitments.

Interfaces extensively with the customer on engineering and technical specifications. Projects are executed utilizing global capabilities, requiring a strong cross-cultural competency.

Requires ability to act as a leader, accomplishing tasks through others, and foster One-Team approach across many departments and organizations.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities - General

During development, establish Project Execution strategies for execution, procurement, construction, and start-up. Define the project scope and budget and present resulting business case to Stakeholders in a clear, concise, manner .

Review and assess any JV, strategic partners’ or other third parties’ scope and costs to ensure alignment. Project scope includes engineering, design, equipment procurement, construction procurement, construction management, plant commissioning and start-up, environmental permitting, etc.

  • Act as face of the project to internal and external stakeholders and positively represent project organization inside LyondellBasell and externally
  • Champion LyondellBasell Global Projects’ Journey to Best in Class delivery methodology and act as a mentor to others working inside the model
  • Oversight and direction of all project execution activities, including overall cost, schedule, and plant performance related to the project assigned.
  • Working with Global Projects functional team members, LyondellBasell Technology development groups and SMEs to develop safe, cost effective solution to identified business need.
  • Overall management of all aspects affiliated to the project performed by LyondellBasell and affiliate partners including work done within and across Global Projects, as well as supporting functions such as Manufacturing, Procurement, HSE, Project Controls, HR, Finance, Legal and Corporate Affairs.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing project team that includes not only the core LyondellBasell’s project members, other owner company functions, external partners, vendors, and equipment vendors.

  • Accountability for review of execution strategies and decision-making processes as required. Lead the internal and / or external problem-solving necessary to arrive at appropriate decisions even with limited information.

Work Experience

  • 20+ years prior experience delivering major capital projects in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Refining, or equivalent industry in the US Gulf Coast
  • Strong history of increasing responsibility of team leadership, demonstrating ability to act as inspirational leader in capital deployment
  • International project management experience a major plus

Basic Function

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the subject matter expert in the implementation of the organization’s global employee relations program in a manner that ensures the fair, equitable, and consistent treatment of employees across the organization.

This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with the Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) team to establish strategy and guidelines to help support the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders in all areas of employee relations.

This role must apply knowledge of employment and labor laws, government regulations, and agency rules to inform decision-making, ensure compliance, and minimize risk and liability.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Focuses primarily on conducting and / or managing the effective and timely investigation and resolution of complex, highly sensitive employee relations matters, including fact-finding, witness interviews, document and evidentiary review, data and root-cause analyses, reviewing and / or writing investigation reports
  • Utilizes best practices and subject matter expertise in collaborating with HRBPs and other key stakeholders to identify and ensure the implementation of timely and appropriate solutions based on well-supported findings and conclusions
  • Ensures the accurate and timely documentation, reporting and review of employee relations matters within HR Acuity case management system for all assigned cases and those reported within assigned locations,
  • Utilizes data and evidence-based approach when advising and consulting business partners to ensure outcomes facilitate compliance, align with LYB’s values and business objectives, and represent fairness, equity ad consistency.
  • Reviews assigned employee relations matters and applies learning and root-cause analyses to identify and recommend effective, sustainable and appropriate business solutions to ER problems.
  • Provide consultation to HRBP clients with their investigations and report writing.
  • Collaborates with business leaders, legal, compliance and the ELR / HR team, to design and implement positive employee relations strategic initiatives that support the organizational culture, and align with its mission, vision and values.
  • Analyzes data identified through external resources (i.e., benchmarking, current employee relations best practices), and internal sources (i.

e., HR Acuity, Ethics Point, HRMS, Employee Engagement Surveys, etc.) in order to identify trends and recommend new or enhanced process improvements to the ELR program or operations.

  • Collaborates in the development and delivery of training initiatives to improve business leaders’ capabilities related to positive employee relations and labor relations, effective employee performance management, conflict management, and employment and labor relations best practices.
  • Serves as a credible, trusted partner to influence leaders by demonstrating best practice technical, functional, and business expertise in employee relations matters.
  • In collaboration with business and HR leaders, recommends and assists with writing, revising, communicating and interpreting HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the mitigation of risk through the consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures consistent with the terms of federal and state laws.
  • As a stretch assignment, may participate in labor relations matters, providing advice and counsel to managers and team leads, including advising on employee coaching, performance improvement plans, grievance and dispute resolution, labor relations best practices, contract negotiations, corrective actions, and terminations to mitigate risk and minimize third party intervention.
  • Takes on other stretch assignments and more challenging projects that impact the entire enterprise as it relates to employee and labor relations matters.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10 years’ HR generalist experience, including at least 3+ years’ experience in an employee relations or related position.
  • Prior experience supporting diverse client groups within complex organization and successfully interacting with business partners to influence, coach, and problem-solve.
  • Experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships throughout all levels within a matrixed or complex organization.
  • Strong preference for experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing companies.
  • Extensive knowledge of state, federal and local employment and labor laws, and agency rules and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of workplace compliance investigations best practices, labor relations, union avoidance, employee advocacy, EEO compliance, and Affirmative Action planning and reporting.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate, strategic, and real-time inventory positions for your assigned business area, utilizing analytical and forecasting tools to understand challenges and present solutions to the business and North America Supply Chain organization.

This position may support the Intermediates & Derivatives (I&D) or Olefins business and will be located in Downtown Houston at our North American headquarters.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory to fulfill customer orders for more complex products or shipping locations while using optimum transportation modes to ensure on-time shipping and lead time, focusing on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Act as the main point of contact and work independently to coordinate inbound and outbound movements of products from assigned shipping location(s) and / or product line(s).

Product movements may be in bulk via truck, rail, barge, vessel, export container, or pipeline depending on the business supported.

  • Where applicable, work with third party tolling facilities to coordinate daily activities between the business, operations planning, and suppliers.
  • Build and establish relationships with third party logistics (3PL) service providers, clearly understand terminal, transportation, and inspection operations (where applicable).
  • Effectively deliver and facilitate communication across 3PL providers, internal and external Supply Chain contacts and the business including, but not limited to operations planning, commercial management, and manufacturing to provide answers regarding product availability.
  • Proactively provide solutions to time-sensitive needs.
  • Manage products in-transit, third party inventory storage, and exchange agreements (where applicable).
  • Partner with inventory accounting to accurately reconcile inventory at the conclusion of each month.
  • Identify and implement programs which reduce cost, increase efficiency, and align procedures.
  • Facilitate efforts on problem resolution and root cause analysis of quality and service incidents while involving others as appropriate to accomplish the task.
  • Support LYB efforts to monitor and achieve continuous improvement at terminals and plants regarding quality, service, and cost performance.
  • Analyze complex data, identify trends and anomalies, and present findings in a clear format.
  • Document all processes, procedures, benchmarks, and analyses performed.
  • Demonstrate independent knowledge of the Enterprise system (SAP), extended system tools, and assist team members and 3PL providers with full utilization of these tools.
  • Assure and maintain accuracy of material and / or master data in SAP and extended systems.
  • Operate with a solution-oriented mindset with regard to process improvements; Assist with change implementation for extended system improvements or other customer fulfillment projects.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of Cash Fixed Costs at a global level and support the annual budget process.

You will partner directly with cost center owners and play a crucial role in providing the right level of data and analysis to support management decision making by providing key information on forecasting, historical / budget trends and related cost analysis at a detailed level.

You will also assist with various aspects of the global budget process as needed and as schedule permits.

Day in the Life :

  • Reconcile actual to budgeted fixed cost variances.
  • Analyze organization costs and provide thorough analysis on findings on monthly reports.
  • Partner with cost center owners.
  • Coordinate, compile, and analyze Global annual budget.
  • Update monthly fixed cost forecast and provide variance commentary.
  • Prepare annual benchmark study and analysis for allocated corporate cost.

You Bring This Value :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business Degree with a minimum of 4+ years of financial accounting or business-related experience.
  • CFA / CPA / MBA a plus, but not required.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Must be able to take action in solving problems and gain support from budget coordinators and management.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Analytical skills with a strong desire to research and understand underlying cost drivers.

Basic Function

Supply Chain is a customer-focused Center of Excellence providing industry-leading service while delivering differential value to the business, today and into the future.

We separate our Supply Chain functions into several areas; these include logistics, customer fulfillment, services, trade compliance, and support for business processes and systems.

As a member of our dynamic Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in the accurate and timely processing of transportation invoices while maintaining effective business controls.

In this role, you will support the purchase to pay process by researching, validating and resolving complex invoices received from logistics vendors.

During a typical day, you will work closely with the Logistics Commercial group by managing the contract rate databases and vendor payment performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for all purchases and payments of logistics services on a site or regional basis.
  • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, clearly understand vendor and system requirements.
  • Effectively deliver and facilitate communication across customer fulfillment, logistics, and accounts payable to validate services provided by transportation vendors and assure accurate and timely processing of transportation invoices.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies in all transactions.
  • Demonstrate independent knowledge of the Enterprise system (SAP), extended system tools, and assist stakeholders / vendors with full utilization of these tools.
  • Operate with a solution-oriented mindset with regard to process improvements; Assist with change implementation for extended system improvements or other Purchase to Pay projects.
  • Partner with peers to provide solutions, guidance to resolve customer or business related problems.

Min. Qualifications
