ECH : Physical Therapy IP (Full-Time, Day Shift)-

The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, implements prescribed physical therapy treatments and supervises individual patient care.

Provides quality services autonomously in a Hospital setting. Assists patients to prevent disability and aims toward the promotion of maximal patient / caregiver participation.

Is responsible for recovery program following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part. Provides care according to Physical Therapy, Medical Center policies and procedures and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with discipline specific designated practice act.

Provides in-patients services under physician's orders. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistant upon request. Participates in case conferences and discharge planning meetings and coordinates with Case Manager for the patient who may continue to require Physical Therapy services after hospital discharge.

These services may be provided for both LLUMC and LLUCH based upon adult or pediatric assignment. Performs other duties as needed.

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program required. If assigned to NICU departments, minimum two years of post-graduate pediatric experience required.

Currently licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of California and California Children's Services (CCS) paneled if work on Pediatric Rehabilitation or CCS paneling within twelve months hired in to Pediatric Program.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

  • Demonstrates the ability to meet Department documentation standards and regulation requirements. Able to read; write legibly;
  • speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position;

The Application Security Specialist is responsible for the ongoing application security design, build, testing, validation and ongoing support of mission critical application(s).

In addition, this position requires the ability to independently interact with clients and demonstrate critical thinking and follow through skills when developing solutions to identified issues.

Perform other duties as needed.

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, or a related field required or an additional six years of experience required in lieu of degree.

Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, information technology, or a related field required. Minimum two years of experience with Epic or other healthcare systems is preferred.

Valid Driver's License required at time of hire. Certification in a minimum of one primary EPIC application is preferred.

Knowledge of the business / operational area supported by the applications. Knowledge and understanding of application security principles, standards, and best practices with related implementation skills.

Solid knowledge of clinical or business / revenue cycle workflow in healthcare. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality;

use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Working knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts.

Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure;

lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers.

The Medical Assistant 2 performs patient-oriented procedures and tasks at all LLUHC sites, within scope of education and training, and under the supervision of physician, supervisor, and / or licensed staff person.

The MA 2 is an advanced / super user in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and supports new and ongoing training and education.

The MA 2 has training and experience with front desk operations such as check-in / check-out and referrals for multi departments.

Serves as a preceptor / mentor for new MA hires and students as well as other clinical staff during the orientation / training period and as needed.

The MA 2 provides coverage to the various Loma Linda University Health Care (LLUHC) Departments as requested / required when not precepting / training.

High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of a Credentialed or Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant (MA) program required for Front Office and Clinical Back Office.

Minimum two years of Medical Assistant clinical experience preferred. Minimum two years Electronic Medical Record (EMR) user required.

Use of EMR specifically EPIC platform with Super User training for one year required. Preceptor, mentoring, and leadership training required within 90 days of hire and annually via LLUH Staff Development and other educational venues as appropriate.

Knowledge of outpatient clinic front office and back office practices and policies, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) user preferred.

Able to keyboard up to 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position.

Operate / troubleshoot basic office / patient care equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others;
