Our client, a 62 year old janitorial supply company is seeking experienced non-cdl box truck operators to start immediately.
A family owned business providing high-quality cleaning products and supplies at affordable prices in Houston, TX, the Woodlands, TX, and surrounding communities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect truck / trailer for defects for safe operation
- Safely load building materials onto truck and unload products at commercial & residential job sites
- Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations
- Must report all accidents involving driver or company equipment
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for load / unload
- Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude Other Competencies :
- Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers Basic Qualifications :
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a clear three year Motor Vehicle Report
- Must have knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- High School diploma or GED
Physical Demands :
- Must be able to remain in stationary position while driving commercial vehicle 40%
- Constantly, moving from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicle onto job site
- Constantly, operates commercial motor vehicle and / or boom vehicle
- Constantly, positions self to unload materials from flatbed or boom Must be able to judge distance while delivering materials and / or operating boom
- Frequently moves materials weighing up to 80lbs while unloading truck
- Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Constantly working in outside environment while making deliveries Mental Demands :

Job Overview
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assemble plugs per engineering documentation to fulfill assigned Work Orders.
- Focus on meeting Production Schedules in the time allotted.
- Complete and properly fill out any Work Orders assigned, including plug builds, packaging, and sub-assemblies, and per department procedures.
- Perform / assist in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory cycle counts as required.
- Maintain required attendance and punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals.
- Follow all procedures and processes to ensure that quality and production standards are maintained while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressured, and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to comprehend production requirements.
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language fluently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Lift a minimum of 50lbs, repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance.
- Push / pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.
- Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
- Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.

DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars
Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records
Serve our customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars using lift truck equipment
Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
Positive, clear, and professional communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE :
Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience
Minimum 1 year of experience working in warehouse environment
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to sit for extended periods through hot and cold temperatures.
Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; and stand, climb, kneel, stoop, and squat, as needed.
Must be willing and able to safely lift to 60 pounds, and slide, push or pull cases weighing up to 150 pounds.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company
