Slot Game Mathematician

Position Summary

  • Develop and proof math models for slot games that demonstrate game probabilities and return to player via theoretical calculation and / or simulation
  • Code, test, and debug simulations of slot games to gather statistics and verify accuracy of math models
  • Collaborate with software engineers and math test engineers to ensure math models are properly implemented and compliant with applicable regulations
  • Collaborate with other mathematicians and game designers to brainstorm new game mechanics and to determine mathematical feasibility of concept math models
  • Develop an understanding of competitive products and technologies

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in applied mathematics, probability, and / or combinatorics
  • Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Have strong multi-tasking skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work will with others in a team environment
  • Ability to bring projects to completion with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to a customer-oriented, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in C++, C#, or a similar object oriented programming language
  • Familiarity with working in a Windows programming environment, including Visual Studio

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience required

Position Summary

Responsible for the Culture, Direction, Strategy, Planning, Environment and Execution for the company’s North American Manufacturing Operations.

Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several Directors having overall responsibility for Warehousing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Refurbishment & Reclaimation, and Process Improvement.

Lead high level cross-functional projects to accomplish committed goals and objectives. Collaborates with other senior Leaders to establish and deliver against strategic plans and objectives.

Regularly interacts with Executive Leadership Team, Peers, Suppliers and Customers.

Essential Job Functions :

Develop and execute manufacturing strategy ensuring that, as the company grows, manufacturing and related capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality, delivery and responsiveness

Responsible for Training, Development, Recognition and Performance Management of the team to maintain highly motivated and engaged employees.

Ability to identify, develop and retain top talent

Create culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement. Maintain a physical environment that is tour ready and complies with, or exceeds, all Health and Safety requirements

Strong financial acumen with demonstrated capabilities in P&L management, Budget adherence and driving margin enhancement initiatives.

Drive daily execution against plan with a focus on costs efficiency and margins while improving Quality and Order Fulfilment

Collaborate with Product Development, Order Fulfilment, Quality, and Service organizations regularly to deliver the best possible customer service and experience

Demonstrated experience establishing and managing Rework, RMA, Material Reclamation and Refurbishment processes

Drive Continuous improvement across all aspects of operational performance

Provide oversight and effective transfer from New Product Introduction into sustainable volume manufacturing

Ensure processes are aligned with compliance guidelines. Develop appropriate and meaningful Metrics along with improvement plans that are communicated effectively across the business

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or Business Management
  • MBA preferred

Required Experience :

A minimum of 15 years experience (7 in a Senior Management role) in Manufacturing Operations preferably in an Electronics, Electromechanical or Automotive environment.

Leadership of Warehouse, Manufacturing, Distribution and RMA processes and facilities.

Demonstrated Continuous Improvement Project delivery background

Experience in materials management, from planning through purchasing and materials management.

Preferred Experience :

Previous experience in gaming would be beneficial

ISO9000 knowledge

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

Proven leadership abilities in verbal and presentation skills to effectively communicate goals and vision to staff and top management

Development of a positive climate and culture

Organized with the ability to work on and manage multiple projects

Ability to influence and make recommendations at all levels
