Opportunity

This is a great opportunityto learn more about welding and get some hands on experience with our Kohler Power Group organization based at the KohlerSaukville location.

This welding bootcamp gives you classroom learning atMoraine Park Tech College location. The bootcamp is a great introductionto welding and any experience level is welcome to apply.

Kohler Power Group Welding Bootcamp will review the following competencies :

Learn how to set up and use a variety of welding equipment e.g. Oxy-Acetylene gas, GTAW and Plazma.

Learn how to test product reliability and integrity.

Learn how to weld to proper dimensions and to meet general requirements

Able to understand blueprints, drawings, job layouts and sketches

Able to fit, position and weld a variety of items e.g. frames, tanks, pipes, production

service equipment and machinery etc. as well as chip and grind welds as required.

Perform a variety of duties requiring a cutting torch

Carrying out all required safety functions

Learn to measure, understand, act on and report quality and operation information

Learn to use the appropriate tools for the job which include : forklift, overhead crane, handtools, etc.

Skills / Requirements

Specific Requirements :

Candidate must apply and be accepted at Moraine Park Tech College Bootcamp .

Candidate must be able to attend classes 4 days a week at a MPTC location and 1 day of hands on at Saukville location.

General Requirements :

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment required.

An understanding of welding fundamentals preferred.

Basic welding experience and / or training preferred.

Working towards apprenticeship or certification preferred.

Ability to drive forklift and operate overhead cranes preferred.

Must be able to lift at least 35-50lbs

Must be at least 18 years old

Opportunity :

Your ManagementResponsibilities :

Collaborate with the Plant Manager to set strategic goals and vision for the site, as well as short and long-term production goals.

Lead all manufacturing operations in a manner that builds trust, drives continuous improvement, meets high standards, and exceeds customer expectations.

Continuously monitor and analyze production performance as compared to : defect and cost objectives and major expenditures.

Direct corrective changes within scope of your authority and recommend modifications and / or changes as necessary and reasonable to maintain optimum efficiency.

Define manufacturing processes and objectives through scrap and cost reduction efforts and Kohler Operating Systems (KOS) activities.

Drive key measurements for the facility that are quantifiable and measurable and for which strategic performance is measured against;

monitor results to make sure continuous improvements are maintained and benefits are sustainable over the long term.

Maintain operating records necessary to control and analyze activities.

Monitor developments within the manufacturing industry by conducting research and development on new manufacturing processes and procedures.

Your LeadershipResponsibilities :

Establish and maintain relationships with management and / or process owners for the purpose of aligning objectives and removing obstacles for process implementation.

Effectively communicate and interact with manufacturing personnel, first line supervision, and all other levels of plant and division management, customers, and vendors as part of a team-based organization.

Facilitate and lead Kaizen events to drive improvement activities and ongoing training and development.

Develop, lead, and drive a Continuous Improvement Strategy through application of Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, SMED, Error Proofing, Flow, Pull, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen) to achieve or exceed the facility plan.

Drive adoption of best practices developed by Lean and Six Sigma teams across the organization.

Collaborate with area managers on the determination of materials, space, equipment, and personnel needs as well as the development and implementation of processes, procedures, assignment, and execution of functional responsibilities, and determination of budget and costs constraints.

Seek assistance of and cooperate with staff in solving problems and making manufacturing improvements.

Skills / Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field or equivalent experience required.

7+ years practical, technical, and management experience.

2+ years supervisory experience and moderate exposure to Materials Management, Production Scheduling, Purchasing, Quality Control, Industrial Engineering, and Accounting.

Previous experience overseeing a large department (150+ employees) is highly desired.

Previous experience with Kaizen, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing techniques.

Strategic thinking, proactive leadership, good judgment, and the curiosity to identify and solve business problems and develop business plans to support growth and delight the customer.

Greenfield experience with a manufacturing plant preferred.

An ability to embrace and utilize ever-changing technologies.

The ability to travel, on occasion, for training and business purposes.

Our Kohler Waters Spa team at The American Club Resort offers more than 50 innovative spa services using the healing properties of Earth’s mineral-rich waters and is one of only 64 five-star spas worldwide.

Join our world-class team of spa professionals and help our guests renew and recharge while they experience five-star living at its finest.

Specific responsibilities include :

Consistently provide service and maintain cleanliness standards at a Forbes 5-Star level

Proficiently use Property Management System (and related systems) to correctly process transactions, complete orders and accurately book / edit spa treatments

Ensure accuracy of all reservations

Maintain knowledge of spa treatments, spa policies, spa amenities, food & beverage and overall resort options and ability to communicate with our guest

Support all spa retail activities outside of retail team hours

Process all retail transactions paying special attention to attaching therapist names to sales for commission purposes

Receive guest feedback / complaints and, with supervision, resolve any guest / staff issues as they arise

Enforce spa policies (service requirements, age restrictions, guest behavior, etc.) with supervision / support to maintain a relaxing spa atmosphere

Maintain facility safety, cleanliness and guest amenity standards

Replenish guest amenity items including Coffee, Hot Water, Creamer and Infused Water for both upper level public spaces and Finishing Spa

Clean public restroom including toilet, sink and mirror and replenish toilet paper and hand towels

Support spa food & beverage operations including obtaining of servicing license to uphold liquor safe handling requirements.

Includes preparing and serving food & beverage items outside of café hours

This is a part time position, working weekdays and weekends. Shifts will vary between 7 : 00am and 9 : 00pm.

Skills / Requirements

Must be 18 years or older to apply

Prior customer service experience within a spa environment preferred, but not required

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to obtain and maintain liquor servicing license upon hire
