Position Overview
The Office Manager will serve as the first point of contact for the project office and collaborate with various project teams to complete administrative tasks related to office events, meetings, and celebration planning, as well as other administrative tasks such as office inventory management, new hire assistance, document / report management, and more.
This person should be motivated, possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and be proficient in various software systems such as MS Word, Teams, Excel, Share Point, and others.
District Overview
Kiewit’s Eastern District specializes in challenging heavy civil construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC.
We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water / wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons.
With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact and assistance for all employees, vendors, clients, and any other professionals who enter the office.
- Update and maintain weekly company email distribution lists.
- Assist with meeting preparation, scheduling, and other office coordination.
- Complete preparations for new hires’ first days, such as assigned offices, welcome letters, and any other needed documents / supplies.
- Sort mail and packages upon delivery.
- Monitor office supply inventories and order supplies as needed.
- Order and distribute annual holiday gifts to office members.
- Assist with annual district celebrations and other events (schedule coordination, preparation, set-up, ordering gifts, awards, etc.).
- Order food / meals and other necessary supplies for meetings.
- Provide back-up to the executive assistant of senior office leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a government issued background check - this role will be working on a federal construction project.
- High school diploma and at least 1+ years of applicable business administrative support and clerical experience, preferably within one of the following fields : engineering, construction, or oil / gas / chemicals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Sharepoint.
- Experience assisting in the preparation of meetings and other work-related events within a fast-paced office environment.
- Must be a positive, pro-active, strong team participant with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

KWFS - Finance Supervisor
Position Overview
The Finance Supervisor will be assisting with all accounting and finance needs at a project level. Each project at Kiewit is run like a small business, with the Project FA acting as the CFO of their project, typically up to $200M in size.
This position interfaces directly with project and district level management, providing trusted insight into the financial health of a project.
The primary focuses of this position include : evaluating construction job cost, data reporting / analysis for management, budgeting / forecasting and revenue recognition.
The Project Finance Analyst is also responsible for training, development, and management of all project business staff.
District Overview
Kiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water / wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants.

Responsibilities
- Participating in project forecast reviews, utilizes historical and trending data to validate forecast, and follows Company standards for cost and revenue reporting
- Shows eagerness to learn the ins and outs of the field operations to better understand and communicate financial reports and data
- Supports Operations team with decision making by identifying, quantifying, and communicating financial risks and opportunities
- Prepares client invoicing, manages accounts receivable and revenue, and reviews project cash flow projection on a monthly basis
- Reviews and understands prime contract and change orders, including insurance, taxes, payment terms, and labor laws
- Follows and implements proper internal controls, and acts as main point of contact for any internal or external financial audits
- Drives continuous improvement throughout the organization and is a proponent for positive change
- Earns trust, credibility, and buy in of processes from Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization
- Displays first-rate customer service skills - willing to help with a positive attitude when / where needed, and be helped with gratitude
Qualifications
- 2 - 5 years of financial / data analysis experience in construction related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Basic working knowledge of accounting, including : general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions
- Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills

Environmental Specialist

As an Environmental Specialist you will lead the environmental compliance for Projects by coordinating, managing and implementing project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies.
District Overview
Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete / bridge, water / wastewater, and transportation projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead the environmental compliance for the Project by coordinating, managing and implementing project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies.
- Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company.
- Identify applicable environmental requirements at federal, state and local levels for the project which may include hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, spill plans, etc.
- Identify and obtain applicable permits and manage as required in the Environmental Management System.
- Review and interpret environmental specifications and drawings.
- Prepare, update and implement site specific environmental plans and submit required reports.
- Develop a comprehensive compliance tracking matrix to capture all environmental requirements.
- Provide input to work plans and participate in meetings.
- Develop and conduct environmental protection and awareness training to staff at all levels.
- Communicate with field crews to ensure understanding of project environmental requirements.
- Perform and oversee field inspections and monitoring (water, waste, noise, etc.)
- Identify, document, report and develop corrective actions for environmental incidents.
- Participate in project audits (both internal and external).
- Liaise with environmental agencies and attend field visits with client and regulatory agencies.
- Identify project materials and vendors needed to support the environmental requirements at the project.
- Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental costs at the project level.
- Maintain records of all requirements and monitor compliance tools.
Qualifications
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health, environmental engineering, environmental studies or another related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience related to the areas of responsibility for environmental compliance for major transportation construction projects or similar is a plus, but not required.
- Interest in an environmental role in a construction project setting.
