Currently we are seeking Full Time qualified Ambulance Drivers to become valued members of our team!

The successful Ambulance Driver functions as driver of an ambulance in the pre-hospital / inter-facility setting on BLS transports.

Duties may include, but are not limited to :

  • Deliver superb customer service to everyone you come in contact with, including participants, their families, neighbors and the people in the facilities.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable protocols for transportation as per company policy.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of KQT.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of your workspace including vehicles, offices, and facilities in which you operate.
  • Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with participants, families, facilities, and dispatch.

RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Complete vehicle inspection at the start of each shift.
  • Assist EMS staff with positioning patients on the stretcher including loading and unloading into the ambulance.
  • Driving the ambulance safely from point to point.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Work requires physical effort including lifting.
  • Sit and stand for extended periods of time with an occasional need to stoop, kneel or crouch; occasional need to work in confined spaces and unusual positions.
  • Walk, bend, squat, twist, reach, push, pull, and carry.
  • Frequently lift and / or move, including assisting participants in moving, going up / down stairs, and wheelchair assistance.
  • Work in the elements (Cold, Heat, Rain, Snow, etc.)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Maintain current CPR card
  • One year related experience preferred (preferred 2 years driving experience).
  • Maintain current, valid Driver’s License
  • Must regularly lift and / or move (up to 125 pounds unassisted / 250 pounds assisted).
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule
  • Basic computer knowledge (all documentation, timekeeping, etc., done electronically).
  • All positions require pre-employment Drug Screen and physical.
  • As part of the new hire process, KQT does conduct background screening.

Dispatcher

Summary :

Is responsible for dispatching and ensuring all transport request are met in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring that all transport requests are picked up in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all crews are accounted for at all times.
  • Ensuring that callers are notified of any delays in transports.
  • Updating the schedule throughout the shift.
  • Problem solving.
  • 1Dispatching of transport requests and relaying appropriate information to field crews.
  • Perform all duties of the customer service representative.

Qualification Requirements :

Education and / or Experience :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Emergency medical technician training and certification preferred.

Experience in emergency medical services strongly preferred.

  • Emergency Medical Technician-Basic certification preferred.
  • Experience in data entry and general operating knowledge of Microsoft 2000 and XP preferred.
  • Experience in communications, leadership, and public relations preferred.
  • Must exemplify the highest performance standards, initiative, excellent communication skills, and positive, professional attitude and appearance.

Language skills :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Supervisory Responsibilities : None Hours : Flexibility in hours is important, especially availability on weekends and evenings as well as weekdays.
