• Under the direction of an LVN / RN and / or licensed medical professional, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care activities to assist medical providers and support the delivery of patient care in the medical office.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

For Rural Health Clinics and GME-Family Medicine Center : prefer bilingual in Spanish, need to be determined by hiring leader at time of job opening based on clinic needs.

Department Specific Requirements

• For SRCC : completion of a Medical Assistant training program or CNA. Prefer 1-2 years of experience.
• For KHMG : must have active Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, RMA, NCMA, CMA, CMAC) within six months of hire / transfer.

Two years experience preferred.

Testing

For Rural Health Clinics and GME-Family Medicine Center : when testing required, includes successful completion of the Language Resource Assistant (LRA) test at a Clinical level.

LRA is a language assessment test that demonstrates written and oral interpretation / translation technique skills. Test will be administered if selected.
