The Marketing Director is the thought-leader who sets the strategic, portfolio and investment direction while owning and driving segmentation and brand strategies for a $300MM, growth-oriented division with multiple brands in the Retail Automotive Aftermarket space.
The key deliverable is driving above market profitable growth of multiple brands while expanding market share by leveraging the brands performance, quality, and history.
This role will support the marketplace intelligence needs of the business unit to drive key strategic decisions. An important member of the divisional leadership team, the Brand Director reports to the VP / GM for the Division.
The three most important deliverables of this role are :
1) Define, communicate and champion a clear and compelling portfolio segmentation that enables profitable net sales and market share growth
2) Apply best practices to simplify and focus strategic and tactical efforts to maximize return on investment

Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing Engineering and development support of Wiper blades product market to fuel the growth and innovation of ITW Global Brand’s automotive aftermarket business.
This role provides dynamic technical support, leadership and innovation from product inception through post-launch. Mechanical Engineer is responsible to lead the engineering, creates and evaluates technological developments, investigates feasibility of new engineering techniques, components, processes, and materials.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conceive, plan, develop, and coordinate project components as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team.
- Support and / or complete medium to higher level complexity engineering tasks / projects as assigned to meet business objectives.
- Create and develop engineering project documentation, i.e. bill of materials, drawings and specifications
- Develop prototypes and test plans; validate as required.
- Participate in or conduct design reviews and provide feedback, using the appropriate tools i.e.
- FMEA, field and lab testing
- Research and provide the required product information to support sales, service, and marketing to satisfy customer needs.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve engineering project issues related to design.
- Execute projects on time and within cost targets.
- Support and implement product release plans to transition new designs to manufacturing and service teams.
- Support existing product lines in VA / VE, product improvements, and sourcing activities.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to IP development.
- Conduct IP study for the existing product and technology
- Design verification and validation testing of new designs / new products. Assist in the iterative redesign of products as needed.
- Create test reports and summary presentations.
- Coordinate engineering activities with other departments including change plans, engineering changes, performance / agency testing and trial runs.

Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years’ experience required.
- 5+ years of engineering-related experience3D part and assembly modeling, design of mechanismsProven track record of moving projects from concept to production
- 5+ years of SolidWorks experienceMechanical Design, Analysis (FEA etc) and PDM Tools
- Ability to use engineering risk assessment tools.
- Proficiency in all computer-related software packages (Microsoft Office, etc.) and additional technologies as required to move engineering projects forward.
- Ability to build relationships within the business arena, across the organization, and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, consultative skills and presentation skills are required with the ability to prioritize and follow up

Essential Functions
- Understand, maintain, and continually improve manufacturing / assembly processes as related to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
- Develop new and maintain existing facility / manufacturing layouts
- Work with operations team to develop production capacity and contingency plans for the division.

SUMMARY
Performs either spot welding or electrical welding of various parts assemblies as required by production and by shop pack instructions.
Checks component parts for proper dimensions and quality. May report parts shortages to supervisor and planning department personnel.
Coordinates build with unit line rate, reports any unusual conditions of equipment operation or part variances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows all company safety rules and policies.
- Daily inspection of welding PPE, inspect electrical and all gas connection (connectors, gas fitting, cables, hoses, and all water cooling systems) to insure welding machine is still in good condition for safe operation before use.
- Uses electrical welding technique to weld parts of units to include, but not limited to, corner doors, drip pans, S / S tops, frames, and glass door frames.
- Checks specific component for proper dimensions and quality.
- Reads job traveler to determine various parts and assemblies required, and coordinate with appropriate personnel to obtain the correct required components.
- May install / weld various assembled parts according to job traveler or supervisor instructions.
- Rechecks shop pack for correctness.
- Inspects products and processes while performing job duties to ensure all work done meets or exceeds standards of the company’s quality program.
- Works cooperatively and congenially with co-workers to achieve cohesive and productive work processes and work environment.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management or as the situation requires.
Qualifications
- Minimum six months experience required in GTAW (TIG welding) or electrical welding techniques.
- Prefer Electrical welders have six months to one year of electrical welding school.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions regarding techniques required for general assembly work.
- Ability to weld thin gauge metals
- Ability to read and understand simple blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of small hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Possess basic mechanical aptitude and ability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop new mechanical flow measurement and control technologies (sensors, valves, meter bodies, flow elements, enclosures, etc.

General Responsibilities :
- Assist in planning, design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of tooling / equipment in support of manufacturing operations for PVA brush processing.
- Participate in the planning, design, selection, procurement, installation, and validation of new capital equipment needed for facility operations and expansion projects
- Maintain facility systems (Wastewater, HVAC, Chemical distribution, life safety, etc.)
- Program software for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition.
- Conduct Install / qualification of tools including Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR), Process Stability and Capability (CP / CPK), and equipment / process matching.
