Pharmaceutical Sales Manager/Player Coach – Dermatology
Overview
IQVIA, in partnership with Good Molecules, is looking for a strong Sales Manager / Player Coach (SM / PC) with a track record of success to join our team!
The SM / PC will lead a team of 2 representatives who will promote Good Molecules’ products to Dermatologists and educate all key physicians about the product’s features, benefits, safety profile, and approved indications to ensure appropriate patient use.
The SM / PC will also function as a player / coach to ensure team coverage is maintained and goals are met. The SM / PC and representatives must use approved tools and resources for product promotion.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, train, coach, and develop a team of 2
- Point of contact between Good Molecules and the field representatives
- Provide timely updates to Good Molecules on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
- Recruit, interview, and select field representatives
- Work closely with representatives to evaluate business conditions and sales trends.
- Develop quarterly business plans to assist with targeting exercises
- Lead team to successfully meet business objectives set forth by Good Molecules
- Assist in professional education activities sponsored by the client, both on-site and field training workshops if needed.
- Provide timely updates to Good Molecules on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
- Maintain & monitor accurate records of sales expenses, customer files, and field sales reports required.
- Hold scheduled performance review with field representatives
Additional Responsibilities include :
- Successfully completes all assigned training for the Representative role as well as dedicates the necessary time to both retain and build the on foundational product and clinical training
- Conduct all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advamed Policies, and Integrity Policies.
- Compliance with promotional program and lunch and learns for HCPS.
- Provide timely updates to client on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
- Maintain and update current and prospective target Prescriber profiles
- Classify customer clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care.
- Determine where our therapies can assist in providing a comprehensive healthcare solution.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college / university required
- 2-3 years of pharmaceutical experience required; completion of leadership development program or similar preferred; management experience strongly preferred
- Dermatology experience required. Insight, knowledge, and market awareness in Dermatology is highly desired.

The Professional Pharmaceutical Sales Representative will professionally and ethically create, maintain and expand sales in designated territory assignment and provide continuing education and service to targeted physicians.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. in order to meet or exceed on those objectives.
- Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation in order to continuously improve sales performance.
Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action in order to close on every sales call.
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectations and challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships and to achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding on customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments / dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share this market intelligence information with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment, to anticipate environmental changes and challenges and to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers / advocates in order to maximize brand performance.
- 25% travel
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree, biological sciences, pharmacy, business related field, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years business-to-business outside sales experience with demonstrated record of impact required
- 5 years of Pharmaceutical Sales Experience with documented success preferred

Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities. Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts quickly all aspects of selling approach.

Vacancy Management Representative
The Vacancy Management Representative (VMR) is responsible for ensuring that continued promotional / sales activities are maintained when a vacancy occurs due to resignation, short / long term disability, terminations, etc.
Also, the VMR will maintain sales continuum, market penetration, and customer / account support. The VMR will support other Territory Managers during periods when there are no vacancies available within the Team.
Qualifications / Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college / university (BA, BS or equivalent) required
- 1 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2 years business to business preferred
- Pain experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of success
- Experience selling in a challenging managed care environment preferred
- Sole responsibility for sales in current sales territory preferred

- Ability to physically perform all job duties which include :
