Key Job Description : The Data Strategy Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining multi-year Data & Analytics strategic plans and roadmaps to enable key business objectives.

Highly visible across the enterprise, this role works with senior and functional leaders from across the organization to understand current business needs, anticipate opportunities for data & analytics integration, and develop strategic frameworks and capability roadmaps that support performance improvement.

The data strategy analyst will collaborate with data & analytics technical teams to bridge business objectives to analytical products & solutions.

You’ll Be Asked To :

  • Document and conduct analysis of key strategic business objectives and analytical needs and participate in strategic planning activities associated with data strategy, analytics enablement, and analytic product development.
  • Implement strategic assessment frameworks to understand current state capabilities, and propose bridging solutions from current state to an ideal, modernized platform.
  • Interact with enterprise-wide business teams to understand and document data & analytics product requirements, and work with analytics & IT stakeholders to envision and propose solutions that meet business imperatives.
  • Develop on-demand subject matter expertise in order to walk in our client’s shoes and be able to bridge business strategy to data strategy.
  • Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term data & analytics product roadmaps, identifying areas of critical need based on enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
  • Provide recommendations on technical solutions (analytics, data management & architecture, business intelligence) to support business processes & analytical needs through a product-driven analytics approach and assist in the development of business impact / value stories.
  • Document and validate business and technical requirements and processes and assist in the development of new processes and ways of working to support improved data management & operations effectiveness.
  • Work with senior clinical, operational, and technical leadership to influence the prioritization of data & analytics use cases in order to increase business value while maximizing efficiency of execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain a product backlog that balances the needs of the business with management of technical debt.
  • Create and deliver effective presentations to a senior audience, socializing ideas and subject matter expertise, and maximizing feedback in order to increase stakeholder buy-in.
  • Participate in change management activities by developing internal business processes tied to a customer-centric analytics operating model.

Propose people, process, technology, and data solutions to help create a more efficient analytics organization.

  • Collaborate with business units across the organization to help crystalize the vision of a Data & Analytics, focused on improving data literacy across the organization.
  • Support the development of success metrics for data strategy and other initiatives related to data modernization.
  • Monitor and communicate industry trends and best practices in data management, analytics, data visualization, and data science.
  • Maintain a broad degree of business functional knowledge across the clients we serve, and become an internal subject matter expert for data & analytics technical teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We’d Love to Hear from People Who :

  • Have an in-depth understanding of both technical perspective surrounding data management and data analytics, as well at the business drivers and imperatives for data-driven solutions.
  • Can work shifting responsibilities across a wide array of functions including data strategy, product and project management, business and data analysis, and analytics consulting / problem solving.
  • Have consultant level communication skills both verbal and written who can communicate and collaborate with team members from across the enterprise.

What You’ll Bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, mathematics, finance, statistics, business administration, or related field
  • Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, information managements, business administration or related field, preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience working as a product manager, program manager, or business analyst within a data and analytics environment
  • Previous experience in health care analytics, data strategy, business strategy, or clinical administration required.
  • Prior experience within a healthcare payor environment
  • Prior experience with product management and agile delivery principles
  • Prior experience with data strategy development
