Bartender
Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is currently interviewing for a knowledgeable, experienced, service-oriented Bartender. Experience in a similar environment is required.
As a bartender, you'll wow our guests with outstanding service and hospitality. Our successful bartender will be gracious, friendly and be able to multitask in a high volume environment while focusing on exceeding guest expectations.
1 year of pervious full service bartender experience is required.
What we're looking for :
- Ability to make guest recommendations through knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer and a la carte food service Serving full menu and bar including wine and specialty cocktails.
- Delivering drinks and food correctly and efficiently Closing out checks and reconciling cash in a timely fashion
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a positive teamwork attitude
- Communicating clearly, professionally, and respectfully Monitoring guest satisfaction
- Having a flexible work schedule including weekend availability
- Full bar service including wine, beer, specialty cocktails and espresso drinks
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Il Fornaio standard drink recipes.
- Assume responsibility for the quality of guests' experience.
- Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties.
- Adhere to food safety standards and procedures
- Prior experience as Bartender, Mixologist, or bar back is very helpful in being successful at this job.
- RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate required in CA locations.
- Foodhandler Card required

At least six months of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
