Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% On Site Delivery (OSD)
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Proper packaging and protection of items being shipped out
  • Compliance to the shipping instructions as designated by Sales or the customer’s shipping / routing guide
  • decide the method of consignment, by means of knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Filling customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Using computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment
  • Performing daily and weekly cleaning according to SOPs
  • Maintaining and organizing adequate shipping supplies
  • Using manual and electric pallet jacket as needed
  • Ensuring that products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier
  • Assisting in others areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned

Education

  • Must read, write, and understand English
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED and be in good physical condition.

Experience

  • Experience in the following areas :
  • Operating a forklift
  • Material handling
  • Handheld scan gun equipment
  • Bills of Lading (LTL)
  • UPS and FedEx (World Ship)
  • ISO / TL quality systems
  • International shipping a plus
  • Hands on experience with an ERP type system
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Ambition and Self-motivation
  • Able to work independently as needed
  • Willing to take direction
  • Some delivery experience and a drivers license required

Skills / Training

  • Proficient use of MS Office software
  • Licensed vehicle driver
  • Able to occasionally lift 25-60 pounds
  • Must possess organizational, planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to articulate well and communicate to all employees at various levels within the organization
  • Attention to detail and able to think beyond the surface of an issue to see the big picture impact upon the whole organization
  • Self motivated yet able to take directions
  • Exercises deductive reasoning, persistence, and sound decision making skills
  • Positive and creative attitude
  • Capable of working with teams
  • Adaptability to change
  • Willing to work overtime as needed by CABLCON
  • Must understand the importance of customer satisfaction
  • Overtime during the week and / or weekends may be required
