Technical Support Specialist II

Position Summary

The Technical Support Specialist II provides in-depth and complex client support for ICU Medical customers. This role will work across functionally across many areas of ICU Medical and ICU Medical’s clients to attack the most complex issues that affect a broad base of customers.

This role is critical to the attainment of the key performance indicators as well as compliance of call center operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and operational direction to health care professionals responsible for the repair and analysis of ICU Medical’s products, including troubleshooting non-functional systems to ensure continuity of service.
  • Identifies, documents, investigates, and resolves the organization’s most complex on-market product issues. These issues frequently affect multiple customers and require cross functional support and / or additional research and reporting to resolve the problem.
  • Position will document these complex issues and solutions in a support tracking system which includes a knowledge base module to enable streamlined handling by Client Solution Specialists thus reducing the service impact of these complex incidents over time.
  • Consistently and without fail models the highest levels of support professionalism and be an example to the rest of the Client Solution team.

This includes strong customer facing skills specifically communication, presentation, writing and dealing with difficult customers / situations.

Analyze complex applications and user problems; evaluate and suggest alternative solutions.

  • Experience in at least two of the following key areas below is necessary to meet the objectives of the position :

Biomedical Devices 5+ years

Smart Pump Software / Reports 3-5 Years

Clinical Device Handling 3-5 Years

The Vascular Access Sales Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining ICU Medical’s Vascular Access & Blood Collection business in a given territory.

The Vascular Access Sales Specialist is responsible for establishing and developing relationships with key decision makers that are critical to preserving the existing base of business while evolving future business opportunities for ICU Medical.

The position is focused on increasing territory level profitability and expanding the current customer base by selling ICU Medical products and extending relationships into new areas with new customers.

The Vascular Access Sales Specialist also provides post sales implementation support on an ongoing basis to ensure ICU Medical customers are maintaining an overall positive experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Territory Revenue Objectives The Vascular Access Sales Specialist will align with the Regional Sales Manager and coordinate daily activities to meet and exceed the annual territory Vascular Access and Blood Collection revenue objectives.
  • Master presentation skills and command technical knowledge of the ICU family of products and how they relate to industry guidelines FDA, CDC, SHEA, INS, APIC, VACC, AVA, ONS, ASHP, etc.
  • Be able to effectively communicate professionally with Clinicians around how industry guidelines intersect with ICU Medical product portfolios and drive better clinical outcomes.
  • Clearly understand the strengths and weaknesses of competing products in the market and how to position ICU Medical’s offerings against them clinically and technically.
  • Know the top 50 assigned customer base in the given territory, contracts, pumps, solutions, distribution models, etc.
  • Be able to conduct product trials and implementation of all ICU products in the Vascular Access and Blood Collection product portfolio.
  • Know your market and the clinicians in the market through local AVA, INS, VACC, APIC, ONS and other local chapters.
  • Clearly communicate with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing and Operations Teams on product performance in order to drive better organizational performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Meet and exceed all agreed upon annual ICU Medical organizational performance objectives for Vascular Access Sales Specialist role.
  • Work on special projects as they arise and are assigned.
  • Work occasionally during weekends / nights, when necessary.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Self-motivated, energetic, professional, and able to perform job duties with minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • Minimum 5 years of medical device sales experience.
  • Vascular Access, blood collection and or infusion therapy products are preferred background.
  • Proven track record of making quota / growth in territory, development of existing customer relationships with Supply Chain.
  • Position requires active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, to perform the essential function of your role at customer locations.

Work Environment

  • This job is a field based role.
  • Work may be performed in a home office using standard office equipment, as well as on-site at customer locations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time;

depending on the needs of a customer.

Position Summary

Responsible for direction of all plant warehousing and distribution functions including raw material and spare part receipt, storage, timely movement and issue of raw materials for plant production, palletizer operations, outbound shipping of sub-assemblies, storage and distribution of finished goods and spare parts to customers, distribution centers, and validation of inventory control systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Manage operation to ensure accurate inventory transactions and proper documentation of transactions.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • Manage operation in accordance with all regulatory guidelines to ensure warehousing operations are in compliance and follow procedures consistent with the production of quality products.

Ensure all material is stored and shipped in accordance with applicable guidelines. Assure manufacturing is not interrupted due to material inventory issues.

  • Train and mentor other supervisors in the warehouse.
  • Develop and implement Standard Work Instructions for all warehouse work areas.

Need solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and experience implementing 5S and Standard Work. Experience in Kaizen principle execution.

Position Summary

The Material Handler supports Production by moving, transferring and pulling orders needed to support Service and Repair.

The Material Handler performs inventory transactions in Oracle and delivers products to production to complete work orders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Stage Materials in designated areas and maintain organization of the materials
  • Maintain clean work environment at all times while performing Material Handler Duties
  • Operate Forklift, Walkie Rider, Order selector or pallet jack as needed to provide materials to Production areas
  • Pick and pull materials from the warehouse or Kanban areas while performing Oracle transactions
  • Verify, Stock returns from production back to warehouse or Kanban locations
  • When pulling for any location verify that Part, Lot, QTY and location are correct
  • Move finished goods from staging hall to warehouse to ensure area is clear
  • Perform label control to ensure that all information is correct
  • Reconcile work orders and ensure correct materials are issued and all transaction has been performed
  • Perform Daily Cycle counts
  • Follow all Safety regulations and procedures
  • Perform shift tasks as required
  • Pull and Transact Move Orders
  • Pull and transact Material Requests
  • Fix oracle errors as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, perform basic calculations, and navigate through complex computer programs accurately
  • Must have good oral and written skills and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have open availability and able to work 12 Hour rotating schedule if needed
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Forklift experience is required

Position Summary :

Performs any one or combination of production line and material handling in manufacturing. Responsible for achieving production standards in manual operations and / or while operating equipment requiring average mechanical skills and aptitude.

Responsible for achieving standard production rates, following safety, compliance, and company policies and practices. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of work in batch records, log books and other official documents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Inspect components, materials, documents and final products either as inherent part of the production process or off line.

Performs activities specified in batch record and SOP's. Sample and evaluate product per defined methods, recognizes action levels and notifies area specialist and supervisor if out of limits.

  • Perform and document lot changes, line clearances, production processes and cleaning operations.
  • Identify non-conforming product (rejects).
  • Achieve established labor standards for the respective tasks.
